I'm curious, what are the control arms and uprights/hubs from?

I was going to guess Solstice. Looks quite similar from what I recall. All of 'my' stuff is from the ground up as we couldn't find any OTS parts that we knew/could find were close to what we wanted.

Correct, Pontiac Solstice, which are basically a reduced scale version of the C6 Corvette. If I remember correctly, it uses the rear Solstice set in both the front and rear.

What a great design. I am currently in the design stage of a mid engine chassis using an '05 wrx motor and transaxle. I was wondering what you were going to use for your rear uprights and suspension system. I couldn't tell from the picture, but I would like to use A arms. Unfortunately the stock Suby uprights are designed for struts. Is there a different axle and hub that can be used with the Suby transaxle to solve this problem? Open to all ideas.
Thanks, RT |

A group of engineer friends and I are several steps ahead of you. No simple solution (through all design phases). I also wised up and am using a different transaxle for the mean time as OTS motorsports units start @ $10k+ before adapters and I shot down the Subaru unit for a number of reasons. |

I love atoms, so I'm watching this thread with great interest...
I also live in Atlanta, and hope I get to see this car run. Keep up the good work! |

I rotate which cars I bring but I'm hoping the TR-42 will be driven to as many as possible. My targeted completion date is sometime in May and I'd also like to do two legs of the 2011 Hot Rod Power Tour (June 5th Valdosta, GA and June 6th Montgomery, AL). No pressure on me seeing that my chassis isn't even on the build table yet! |

Hoping that my chassis will be ready for me to pick up by the end of March. Production time frames have not yet been established.
The first two customer cars (Erik #002 (the dude in post #115) and mine #004) are Subaru powered and their build times will be logged to review and finalize kit pricing. Frame jigs are already built so my guestimation is about 3-4 weeks per car, depending on each customers option checklist (powdercoat/floor pans installed/windshield/etc). 8 weeks isn't much time to get the wiring, final assembly, vinyl wrap finish and dyno tune completed after receiving my chassis and kit. I'm starting to stock up on 5 Hour Energy drinks in advance. |

The green prototype is looking good!
What color are you going with for the frame? |

i can imagine, once you start a project like this, you're not going to want to take any breaks----what are you doing for wiring?

My thoughts are that my frame will be black and my body panels will be vinyl wrapped (not painted) green with some carbon fiber (looking) inserts in the center of the hood and side pods. The green color of my vinyl wrap will be either a candy lime or the new Camaro Synergy Green. Last edited by hipowernut; 01-29-2011 at 09:37 AM. |

What's his price for a bare chassis, if you don't mind my asking?
I'd seen him post on a some other forums but didn't want to join, just to ask him a pricing a question. Either that or contact info. Thanks, Micah |

Moore Performance has been sent a check for the twin scroll system. They will be working with PooK (fabricator at MMW) to make sure everything clears and fits properly. The next month ought to be very exciting to watch as the welding and bending begins.
