Default boost spike / surging when raining

anyone have any clues as to what could be causing this? the boost only spikes when it is raining outside. does it in every gear...coming home on the interstate today running 80 mph around 3000 rpm...it felt like it wsa goign to shut off on me. almost like the motor was having misfire issues...but it only does it when it is raining.

went through a drive through carwash earlier this week and noticed the same thing for the first few minutes...so it seems to stop after everything is dry...i am lost at this point and really don't want to get rid of the car...but at this point i can't drive it in the rain...so i might as well have a motorcycle

It'd be easier for people to help you troubleshoot if you listed the mods you have.

shortram intake

I am going to try swapping out the intake and see if it is the MAF getting wet.

Well take the rain out and what do get? A dry car, and it seems you have a possible electrical short or grounding issue. Go back to the last time the car didn't do it and think what you modded if nothing then start at the MAF.

Have you ever had that tuned by a pro?

yes just got tuned by SS at topspeed...talked to the origional owner about the issue, he suggested going back to the stock air box....but i think i will just swap out the short ram for a true cai and see what happens.
