If that ship was still at Japan port last night then I highly doubt that's the ship supposed to dock and unload cars in US ports on the 18. Does it only take 6 days for a ship to hail all the way from japan to the US? lol. Ahh I think it's better I don't know what ship my car is on as I'll be tracking the ship everyday.

Sorry so off topic, but why do so many people like PBP better than most of the colors?

Just wondering because I am in a battle between PBP, WRB, and black.

I really like the look of PBP and Black but man are they hard to keep clean and they get lots of swirl marks very easily. My last car was black, never again.

Imo, subarus should be WRB. Mercedes should be silver, Jags should be British racing green, and Ferraris should be red.

I think it's just personal preference. I don't see any color is more popular than other. I see a lot of WRB, White, Black, Gray as well. May be lately the PBP orders people started putting up pictures lol.

Just got a call from my dealer, ETA is now 01/15. Order placed 08/22 was on hold for a few weeks until last week. Feels good to finally get some progress in this whole process.

So what you're saying is, once you went black, you never went back?

Wow, i think that's the latest official ETA i've seen. Can you give your other pertinent info? Got VIN? Allocation number (perhaps 201301)? Dealer?

Thanks.

I agree with Heebus. I currently have an OBP STi hatch. SUCKS to keep clean and everything shows on it. Black looks great when its brand new or squeaky clean, but that lasts about 20 minutes

I was torn between WRB and SWP. Ended up going with SWP this time around because it is what I originally wanted (before I bought my OBP). And every time I would see a white STi it would make me pissed that settled on the black. Not really too much of a fan of the PBP. One because it can sometimes look purple, and two, it is also too dark and I imagine would be similar to black in terms of keeping it clean. But I can see how some may be drawn to it because it certainly is a unique color.

Never asked for an allocation number, and got a partial VIN today, the last 8 digits. Ordered a wrb 5 door wrx limited with Nav and a few other options. Anyone know what the deal is with a partial vin? Do I need to call SOA or will it update eventually? I'm trying to start insurance shopping.

I don't think having the VIN helps with insurance shopping, at least it won't with GEICO. I keep trying to quote add using the VIN I was provided for my 12/17 eta STi and they still think it's a base model Impreza on their website. Doesn't help that their drop down is just Subaru and then Impreza, no WRX or STi listings at all.

When I was talking to my agent prior to placing my order he estimated a price for insurance and told me he can give me an exact quote when I give him a VIN
