Gauge pods in the corners of Instrument cluster?!?!
Its a gauge pod that replaces the surround of the instrument cluster. There are 2 gauges in both the left and right LOWER corners. I WANT IT!
I remember I saw a picture of this once....I've been searching for the last half hour for it and my last resort is you guys. Does anyone remember seeing anything like this?

I don't think it was for the Impreza IIRC.

I'm 99% sure I know just how he did that. It looks pretty slick, but I'm not sure how well it would hold up.(in the long run)
I think this would be a do it yourself modification. Unless someone would be willing to go to the trouble of getting the parts and making the neccessary mods and selling them on the I-club. DOH! SSHHH... There I go thinking out loud. Would anybody be interested in this mod? I might try it out. To see how well it works/easy it is to do. Cya, Gary |

guys... it's not a DIY. no need to get all excited.
HKS makes those little pods. They only fit 34mm HKS gauges though. -Edwin |

This pic?
Those are (or I think they are, Adam please feel free to correct me) the STi steering wheel mounted boost guages. The right one would have had to be adapted to fit, as it's generally installed on the left side of the steering column. You can find the part number for it on my parts page for the Impreza (follow the link in my sigfile below) but you will have to order it from FHI directly or from Subaru of the UK, as US dealers do not seem to be able to order it... I've tried. Brian http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/northu...reza/index.htm I think I bent my Wookie..... |

What about the "stealth" gauge install, inside the mid-dash storage bin?
These are Autometer Phantom 2-1/16" boost and EGT gauges, with no special mounting brackets, just the two mounting screws going into the back of the storage bin. Larry www.ImprezaRS.com |

From what I remember this "Picture" I was looking for was a close up...Similar to North Ursalia's pic, but they wern't seperate pods. The whole surround and the 2 gauge pods were molded as one.
GRRRR....(I hope I'm not crazy?!?!) |

I know what you are talking about. It is actually a piece that replaces the dash trim piece that is on the outside of the instrument cluster.
However, they don't make one for the Impreza. The pic was from a Honda I believe Eric |

I saw the ad too and it took me a while to find it. The name of the company is Taka Kaira Inc. Japan. The ad had a few Subaru parts on it but it didn't say that the gauge package was for the Impreza. I believe it just fits over the instrument panel and has two additional gauges on the top outside corners. The magazine I saw it in is Japanese Performance on page 13.
