I got my 'Kooks mounted yesterday, and I wish we were racing this weekend, they feel really good!
Ryan, did yours show up yet? We have around 6 signed up in STS, only 2 in STX, nobody wants to race the "National Boyz?" |

I'll know for sure later this week if I have to work or not. (I don't really have to, but am going out-of-town Memorial Day weekend, and the following weekend, so I'll be spending lots of $$). I'm still figuring out which sport is a bigger priority, AutoX, or BMX, chasing titles in both, conflicting weekends, etc... My guess is that we'll run in the A.M on Sunday, because we ran P.M in Yakima, and they seem to alternate. Last edited by deuce.five; 05-10-2005 at 12:40 AM. |

Killed two of my Azenis this weekend at the BEAC practice. Ugh, my car needs some more work. I ran 4 runs, started out at a high 46 and ended with a high 45. The grip just wasn't there up front.
I got to run a stock 2003 Cooper-S also, which was interesting. It was on *real* street tires (over 320 treadwear), and the most I could get out of that one was a 47.1. Fun little car, but it seems like it lacks power and a LSD. It was a well-balanced car though, it always seemed to do what I wanted, except oversteer. I think I scared the car's owner too, which was fun! The gas pedal felt weird though, like there was a little lag or something. Maybe one of those new-fancy-schmancy throttle by wire things. Maybe Keith can clue me in on if its me or the car. Hope to see everyone there! |

TC was off, if that's what the little yellow light means. Are they throttle-by-wire? It didn't seem like there was much acceleration difference between half-floored and floored. Maybe it was just me.

Yes, it is throttle by wire. But there should be quite a difference between full and half throttle.

Update: My brand-new 'Kooks were slashed Saturday night while I was at work, only 45 miles old. I had great expectations for them. Luckily I hadn't sold my old tires to Scotty B. yet. See you in Packwood. |

wow, that really sucks jeff. who the heck would do something like that to you? ...you dont seem like the type of guy who'd have any enemies... :/
i haven't talked to any of you guys in soooo long. ....last year, that drive back from the autoX on Skate Creek Road was awesome. I found another road that is entirely dirt if you guys want to do some rally this time jeff, you still have that sway bar? i never heard back from you.... i wont be upset if you sold it, that was like 6 months ago. i'd still get it from you if you have it. ...i have decided to take a break from the racing stuff to ride my bicycle across the country. check out www.forward-motion.org if you're curious~ or email me. peace all~ -brett |

All 4. On top of tires, it cost me cab-fare, tow-bill, mounting my old tires again.... It's starting to look like one of my co-workers is associated with it. One that I thought was my friend. Girl at work, unstable ex-boyfriend....etc. I don't have any enemies, I was completely shocked! It's still sinking in. Very hard to believe. Could've been alot worse though, tires are more easily replaced than paint/windows. Those tires felt WAY good, I was really looking forward to trying them out! I'm hoping to make it. Our daughter was born this morning via Caesarian. If I can find someone that will help my wife out, on Sunday, I'll be there. If not, have fun without me.
