i'm sorry but i have no pics. i won't be able to get my camera back for another 2 months.

i was hoping jc sports might have something, but i've also just been told that the jc sports site is down as well.... i'm just not having luck am i?

reason for sale: i tried to make this fit an ej22. don't listen to what others say.... it dosen't fit. this mess cost me 2 air sensors (at almost $300usd each) and a catalytic converter, which i'm still waiting to hear the damage from the dealer, and a very dead subaru sitting in their service lot

so kids... ej25 only for bg/bd legacy.

thanks

ben

Benjamin Tang - two MAF's + cat? That's really weird cause I have the same intake on my EJ22 (on my '98L).

What did the Subaru tech say about the codes your ECU threw?

i just don't know anymore. the dealer blames the lack of support for the air sensor and the subsequent vibration has ruined it. this is because the supplied bracket only works for ej25, not ej22. i tried to fabricate something to make it work and it has obviously failed me. this is already my second air sensor, and it's lasted me barely a month. the one prior lasted only 2 months.

my cat is ruined because the computer defaulted to limp mode and left the fuel to full rich. i tried to drive 200mi home on the check engine light and eventually everything went to hell and i got stranded. i had to flatbed the car the rest of the way.

all i know is we are without a car and i don't have enough money to fix it, and i want to sell all this stuff asap so i can pay for repairs and try not to lose any more money

gtbguy... i emailed u about this earlier. if you have any pics and could quote the new retail prices for this stuff i would appreciate it... it would give me a starting point as to how much i can sell everything for.

thanks

ben

Ben - Retail prices on the intake itself new is $299US + shipping. CAI kit extention is $150USD + shipping. So basically it's $450USD new.

Your dealer must be out of his mind, I've been using the same intake set-up on my '98L since 4 days after I bought the car. It hasn't given me and CEL's, or any MAF probs. I'm going to try and get some pics for you.

my apologies...didn't read too closely. can you descibe the CAI extension and how it incorporates with the rest of the intake? also, given the "new" prices as stated by gtbguy...what is your asking price?

the cai extension uses an aluminum adapter to the MAF, a modified ractive heat shield filter, and an extension on the end of the filter into the fender where the old airbox used to breathe from. you would need to remove your resonator, if u haven't already.

$180usd for the intake.

$100 for the CAI kit extention.

shipping extra. could be within $30... rough estimate without knowing where it's going.

Ben - Just as an FYI, this kit can be adapted to be used on MAP Legacys as well, all you need to do is not install the MAF adapter.
