Default adding a 5mm to a 15mm hubcentric spacer

this is an honest but stupid question i know but here goes

i received 15mm spacers thinking the studs would clear the wheels' offset grooves on the back of it and it didnt. clearly i need at least 20mm cuz thats what i have on the rear now.

i know selling these and picking up 20mm would be best but would it be really bad if i picked up 5mm spacers, put em on, then slap on the 15mm spacers ? basically sandwiching a 5mm spacer between the hub and the 15mm

i will switch the 20mm spacers from the back to the front ?

LOL here comes the blaze

to test fit sure ... to actually run the car i wouldn't

the other thing you have to think about is stud length/lug nut setup ... not sure if you have longer studs or open ended lug nuts but you definitely want to make sure they have enough thread to hold onto as you increase spacer size.

these are version 2 ichiba hubcentric spacers. i made a mistake of getting 15mm instead of 20mm so im asking if anybody has done this before. i mean, adding a 5mm spacer to 15mm to make it 20mm

What ginormous brakes are you running that you need an additional 20mm of clearance?

20 mm is a lot of spacer and might agravate your wheel bearings if your studs are long enough.

what you need to do is get wheels that fit the way you want them to if that means that you want a 17x9 with a 2mm offset so you can be "hella flush" like the cool kids then so be it. but please do not endanger your self and others on the road by running one spacer on top of another spacer.

if i had 1k to throw at some wheels i would've. anyway all is good, im happy with the results. i torqued the spacers and the wheels a second time already and will be re checking it again. i just wish this car came out of the factory without the wheels so sunken in the wheel wells

and i wish i was still a 'kiddie' the big 3 0 is not far LOL
