Those are gonna look so sick on your car bro!

Is it the same textured paint as the car?

Thanks

It's not textured.. it is smooth as a babies butt!! It's bronze duplicolor wheel coating. I'm hoping that Saturday is nice and I'll put one final coat on the face of the rims. I'll be heading to Florida for about a week for work on Sunday. I need my rims nice and dry/cured for the following Saturday to mount the tires.

I need the car drivable for the TSC spring fling on the 14th

Here are a couple of crappy pictures of the wheels on the car... it was the only break in the rain that we've been getting for the last bazillion days

I was able to get the car out with the stanceiseverything.com folks to take some snaps of the car.

The hi-res pics can be found here:

Well.. it looks like the engine bay needs to be re-constructed again. Unfortunately some thieves popped my hood, and stole pretty much everything they could get their hands on. My front bumper was off the car as I was prepping it for paint so that means the FMIC went as well.

List of things stolen:
- Boost gauge
- EGT gauge
- FMIC
- Custom Intercooler Piping
- BOV
- Magnus intake manifold
- Throttle Body
- Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Agency Power polished turbo inlet
- KS-Tech Big MAF, MAF, Filter
- Forge coolant overflow tank

List of things damaged:
- Fuel Lines
- P&L Power steering line
- Cut wiring harnesses
- Fuel lines
- Coolant hoses

Let the re-building journey begin... Just when I want to spend time working on my Batmobile, I have to re-build the scooby

You can see what the engine bay "used" to look like a few posts up. Now I'm back to the drawing board thinking about how to bring the car back to life. I haven't been able to drive the car much at all this summer

- Break-in tune finished early summer
- Starter fries
- Welding up shaved holes on trunk
- Start to do some body work to get fresh coat of paint
- Clutch goes
- Thief steels parts

Not the best year for my scooby

Hopefully I can get some more details worked out tomorrow. I'll feel better once I get a solid plan in motion

What a terrible thing to hear about. I hate thieves, I've had people break into my car twice. Best of luck, I cannot wait to hear what you decide to do next.

Yeah.. What hits you hard is really all the time energy and effort that goes into getting things the way you want it...then having someone just rip it out of your car. Plus hoping and praying that insurance helps out.

But I now have a plan, and things are starting to come together. Hopefully will have all the parts ready by the end of this week.

^^^ That is exactly how I looked when I opened my hood

Called Ultimate-Racing this morning and I should hopefully have all my parts gathered to re-construct the machine on Friday if all goes well.

It will be shades of my old engine bay, D Money's and Wayno's merged together in some kind of love child

I'm stripping down a 2.5 RS JDM intake manifold tonight.. cutting off all the crap and polishing it up to run reversed.

That's great news bro! Check the mani before you take it to Sam that it fits reversed. You might have to cut the underside of the hood for clearance!
IAG are making me a custom shorter set of TGV's if you want to go that route too. Or get a lower engine mounting setup from the NA's they sit lower
