HPDE: NASA-VA @ Summit on July 10-11 + Hyperfest
Instructor and other special run groups on July 9th.
But the HPDE is July 10 & 11. Hyperfest also is going on there that weekend. Hyper Fest, is designed to include all the normal NASA activities plus be an “amusement park” of automotive and import/compact market lifestyle activities. Included on Saturday are a car show, drifting competition featuring the most skilled international drivers, a stellar manufacturer's midway, educational seminars, the most exciting road racing in North America , and a universe of entertainment. Looking into possibly camping this track event.

I'll be there with Team IAC! Camping sounds like a good idea!

I sign up for both events:
at Summit and VIR at the end of July. Where are you planning to stay people? Camping could be fun too... |

Last time I went to summit I stayed at the Quality Inn in Harpers Ferry. Was like $65 a night. Nice place, it is a fairly new "conference center", a "restaraunt" on premises, and the bigger bonus lounge on premises with lots of space and a pool table (can smoke in WV bars!). They also accept pets. That will likely be my future spot when not camping.
Real easy to get to as well - NJT south, PAT west, 15 south, 340 west and you are there. It is like 10 minutes through charleston directly to the track with no turns - just take a left on 340 and it will be there on the left after a while with no blind or unmarked turns to get there. |

Yeah VIR as first event when cabin fever is eating away at me is one thing - too far for me mid-season too many weekends and the travel time starts adding up.

I never was at VIR (neither at Summit ).
I am curious. I desided this year to hit as many HPDE's as possible and skip on some AutoXes. Thanks for direction. Serge. I sent Linda e-mail yesturday. I paid for my NASA membership almost 3 months ago. And got no new card so far |
