newb question about kartboy SS
well never got a SS for my car b4, and since ive been reading the boards seems like the majority of you have gotten the kartboy.
on my WRX rite now, the shifting is a bit choppy, not as smooth as i would like it to, getting into 1st is rough, and from 1st to 2nd is hard to get it smooth and fast. also in reverse, it just doesnt want to go in at times. my question is: will the SS make all this go away? will the shifting be alot smoother and will be getting it in reverse be better? also will the bushings, help it smooth the shifting out? TIA wrx0r

The shifter will not change the gear action, but it will both lower the shifter height, which just makes the shifter "feel" better and it will slightly increase effort needed to shift (as a by-product of reducing the length of travel) thus making shifts less vaugue. The bushings are what will reduce much of the sloppiness of the stock setup.

You will not regret the bushings even on the stock shifter... the KB or some other short shifter justs makes things all the sweeter .

You can get the bushings from Kartboy.com, isrperformance.com, boxer4racing.com, and bspecusa.com among other places. They are indeed a DIY item, and instructions are available on either scoobymods.com or kartboy.com .
