Maintenance Schedule for B9 Tribeca
I have my B9 Tribeca for about 7 months and it has over 15,000 miles already. I am planning to give it the 15k mile service. Below are what my Subaru dealer recommended to replace spark plugs at 15k miles but the manual said to replace spark plugs at 30k miles. Should I follow my dealer or the manufacture?

I think, you should go by the manufacturer's recommendation..
My dealer recommended that my tribeca's tires be rotated at 3K miles when I took it in for its first oil change...
Wonder what tire rotation has to do with a break in service.. On most cars tires are rotated every 5-7K miles.. I think, dealers are just looking for excuses to make you spend on your car, whenever you bring it in for something.... I am not even planning to take it in for my next oil change to the dealer...probably take it to Sears, Walmart or Jiffy Lube...or even DIY....its a pretty simple job... |

When in doubt, follow the manual.
Either that, or ask them about a TSB that has changed what it says in your manual. This is a GOOD reason why I don't go to stealerships (but I just wish I had one nearby that I could trust). - dow |

Like dow said follow the maintenance manual. Tire rotation should only be at around 7k, earlier if you have severe tire ware, in which way you should take it to the dealership to get checked out. At 15k you should do oil, and tire rotation. If you live in a hilly area (aka mountains) it wouldn't hurt to get a transmission service at 15.

Spark plugs at 15k? Even 30k seems too early. Ignore the dealer; read and follow the manual.
