Default 2011 Subaru WRX/STI exhaust compilation

Will everyone please post any exhaust clips they can find and note any other modifications that are on the car that could affect exhaust sound (ie. downpipe, cai, etc)

I looked around on this forum and could not find a thread like this so forgive me if there is one out there.

Loudest quad-tip exhaust is the P&L catback exhaust which I have on my car.
The loudest exhaust period is without a doubt the Invidia N1 race which is a single tip exhaust

Don't forget HKS ES Premium, it is nice and quiet. About the same as stock during idle and cruise, nice throaty tone at WOT.

It might not be on their site yet, it is dual round canisters with double rolled angle tips. I will take a pic of mine later after I wash the car.

Damn they need to start making more exhausts for the 2011 sedan. Seems like most are for the hatch. Although it is only Jan 2011 lol...

^^^ I agree. I want the Cobb to be released, have someone buy it, use it for a bit and then sell it to me cheap.

Has anyone noticed that Cobb exhausts sound very different when compared to the other major brands such as Invidia or Magnaflow? Cobbs almost sounds raspy. I've never heard one in real life though so I have no idea how it sounds. I'm just worried it might sound like a raspy honda? T.T

I somewhat agree with you. Although I was very surprised how the Invidia Q300 sounded...I almost like didn't like it. I like the nice subtle sound of the SPT. Now only if that exhaust was a little less conservative

I have the SPT catback on my 2010 hatch. Paired with a downpipe (i have the Crawford dp) i dont think its subtle at all. mines pretty darn loud. Not to mention i can hear the wastegate gas screaming thru the dp at WOT pretty good. And in Cali its kinda worth it to have it looking stock and sold by subaru, the cops are gay.

How much louder did the downpipe affect your exhaust sound? Because I hear the SPT is very subtle but I'm sure it gets much louder when you add a dp.

I agree with what others have said about several of the exhausts sounding a bit raspy. IMHO, the Lachute turboback has that perfect combination of deep rumble at lower revs and no raspiness whatsoever at higher revs. Looks damned good too! Steep price but I think you get what you pay for with this one.

To the OP, excellent post!

If I ever get around to it, I'll post a video of my CNT catback on my '11 hatch. There's already one or two on youtube, and I really like the sound, especially for the price.
