The car feels great compared to my old setup.... Ill post it below in comparison. The old setup was a catted dp, spt cb, and harman cai. Future plans: inlet, injectors, ebcs, and maybe ewg (next year) New: Old:

how much boost would you need to be able to hit these numbers with a turbo inlet / fmic / ewg? All other supporting mods to ofcourse

Extraordinary...
What was the delta WHP from stock to current? Absolute WHP # are worthless w/o baseline # to compare |

Not sure what the baseline is for an 09 wrx... Stock sti puts down 221/257 from what I have seen on a previous hb speed dyno chart.

My car also feels great compared to stock, so seat of the pants dyno's don't mean anything. Whats the car trap at? Any data logs to share? |

Likewise. 330 whp on 91 octane with a VF52? What did it make before correction?

2.0L WRX 02 to 05 = 160whp 2.5L WRX 06 to 08 = 185whp 2.5L STi 04 to 07 = 225whp (Mustang dynos tend to read +15whp more than dyno dynamics) Thus if Mcganz's WRX put down ~225 as a baseline (which means the dyno is waaay off), yes he could have pulled 325whp which means his mods gained ~100whp. But not 150whp w/o some combination cams/race gas/water-meth. Those turbos/heads just dont move that much air. |

^^^ I hate to jump in on most of these conversations, but I have to agree. I know a dyno is a tuning tool, but these numbers seem way too high without some kind of modification to the turbo, E85, meth, or some sort of race gas.

I'm not claiming/calling BS, but rather would like to figure out what caused such high dyno numbers. While we all tend to be skeptical about dyno numbers here, the tuner may be on to somthing new, the dyno is could be off, FHI changed somthing, or a combo plate of the above.... BTW....are the graphs in post #1 above actual whp or "corrected" chp? |

Mcganz Congrats! Your car is making more power than mine with less mods. You can really see the difference in tq from the tmic and the fmic. You are making almost 60 wtq more than I am at 3k.
Hope your v-day dinner was good |

Hey mcganz121, I don't mean to knock your set up, it looks sweet. The only thing that doesn't make sense to many of us is how the tuning was able to perform this kind of power on 91 Octane. I deal with the same crappy gas here is Utah which is why I would almost rather run E85, Hopefully your tuner will chime in on the set up/tune/correction factor used.

Seems almost too good to be true. Though I/we need to remember dynos are only tools to be used and not get wrapped around the #'s. We all know stock STis (04-07) with the same mods barely see 300whp @ those boost levels. Anyways, you must be loving the way it turned out for you, with that amount of torque at 3k rpms must be amazing. Two thumbs up

That's some awesome results. Them vf52's on the new WRx's are insane power makers. I'm jealous How does it compare to your 06 Wrx with a vf39?

This I understand, but when the numbers are this far north of the norm, questions need to be asked because it seems as though the correction factors are messed with to make it appear that the car is faster than it really is. Then you have a 330 WHP car that won't trap 99 MPH. Not saying this is that car, but it has been done.

As someone who has a VF48 (which is the same as a VF52 but for the flange), and having injectors, intake, full TBE, a FMIC..... My car doesn't make 18G power and I can tell you that being tuned on 93 octane, as I am tuned, +320whp ain't happening. Its a fun ride, but +320 is a bit much to expect from the tiny but capable vf48/52. And 300whp at redline...... No way! What is this, a 68hta? Ah hell, we're all on the same Subie fan club at the end of the day! Ciao! |

wow mcangz and Redfitz your tuner in nuts!! my tuner deams 90% IDC to be safe. for me at 290hp and 311TQ thats only 17psi with catted TBE, CAI, UP, LWP, 255 pump and 3-port EBCS. theres no way you two are safe running 19-20psi!! forget the hp numbers, you guys have headers which ive heard can make a lot of power and torque so i cant comment. we tryed 18psi but the intercooler was to hot up top so we had to back off but we were hitting 225TQ around 3k ish. so your TQ seems right for 19-20psi. but again you guys have to be at 100-110% IDC=not good!
