Ben, you're OG. Don't worry about it.

Congrats on getting the car back running. Looking forward to competing against it again.

Haven't had much luck finding a place locally to install the overlays for my taillights, any recommendations?

Element Automotive best place to get a downpipe installed? Thanks for the input!

  • Underground Performance (Anchorage)
  • P3 (Wasilla)
  • Element(Anchorage)
  • Ellis Motors (Anchorage)
  • Maybe Subaru Continental as well still? (Anchorage)
  • Host your own at home BBQ and get it done for free with friends

Take your pick, either will work.

Speaking of which... not trying to hate but any plans to put up some kind of official vendor post on AKIC? Seems wasteful to spend that much on a NASIOC vendor status and not have any kind of official thread there with at least labor rates, information, qualifications, location, projects done, manufacture part availability, anything. Nothing since the BBQ opening.

Element is a vendor in good status here.

Support AKIC vendors if you can.

P3 and Element!!!

Recommend a tune after down pipe so easier just to have the tuner of his choice put it on.

I don't really understand why they need a thread just cuz they're a vendor? Makes no sense to me.

On topic.
Made funny looking stuff.

On a different note, I put the roof rack back on the car last night and bought a never used parts washer off Craigslist for dirt cheap! The utility of the roof rack has more than paid for itself.

he's just trying to help, no they don't need a thread, but at $118 a month to list your self as a vendor on this forum you'd think they would at least post in Vendor classifieds a homepage that listed phone numbers hours ect.

just so you guys know what us tuners go through sometimes with these obd2 cars

spent the afternoon yesterday trying to figure out why my car was idling at 11.5 afr's after running for a while........... my front O2 sensor would quit working after the first few minutes, it would be fine at start up and then the afrs would go from 14.8 slowly to 11.5 after a couple mins. the car was idling fine it was just very smelly and afr proved it to be very rich. So i hooked a computer up to it and logged a few values. AFR learning, AFR correction, AFR, MAF, maf voltage, ect.... And this is what i saw happening, Started the car and everything was looking good afrs were steady maf voltage and airflow seemed right. kept watching and nothing out of the ordinary was popping up and afrs were still steady at 14.7-14.9.... then it started

the front O2 went slightly lean the ecu caught it and added some fuel (7-10%) front o2 read 15.2ish and Wideband read 14.2ish, front O2 leaned again... this kept happening until correction was adding 25% fuel (which is maxed out) and the front O2 was still reading lean at 15.5-16.0 and the wideband was reading 11.2. Long story short i changed the front O2 sensor and presto, front O2 and wideband both read 14.6-14.9 with 1-2% fuel correction the only bad part is it took a couple hours to figure out because a leak in the airsystem or cracked header would give you the same results as this bad sensor.

Had the wife's suburban towed to Element Automotive because it had me stumped and I didn't have the time to screw with it. Quick diagnosis (electrical gremlins) and some fresh oil and tranny fluid and back on the road. Thanks guys, fast turn around and great service... Wife is happy to have the beast back!

Yup,

They will be doing the tint on the Wife's new car among some clear bra pieces. Will also have them re-do the clear bra on the BMW before it hits the road this summer
