Default tdc measurment?

how is the crank rate measured on a 92 t and on a 95 2.2? i know the 92 is obd1 so i thoght it might be magnetic, are they compatable? or can youjust pop on the 95 sensor onto the ej22t crank? i want to use my 95 ecu but with some piggy back ecu.

It lives! ; )

Default TDC

I wasn't sure if you were asking about tdc or crank trigger differences....anyhoo, you'd probably get a correct answer from hndatch or stimpy.

haha, that was actually pretty funny.

From my understanding i am assuming by 92T you are talking about a 92 Legacy Turbo Block and a 95 2.2litre bottom end. Here goes nothing, from my understanding all subaru 2 channel Ignition systems(which is what you have) use the same 6 tooth crank trigger. The sensors should not be any different(maybe different built date) but the same in construction and impedence. have you physically looked at the sensors?? Besides if they are different just swap the crank pulleys and use you exsisting 95 ECU...is the 95 OBD-2(i'm not too familiar with them) but if it's OBD-1 still your chances of them using the same crankshaft timing gear are pretty high. Good Luck

this is what the guy that makes torque chips told me

The '92 has long leads on the sensors and they plug in at the back of the engine and I am pretty sure that by '95 the sensors didn't have leads and just plugged into the engine harness.

i want to run the entire 2.2 t motor not just the top end. I plan on running the new verion of torque that will control the larger fule injectors and other features that the 95 obd II ecu cant run. i cant look at my car for another week until the incurnace agent decides what it is worth and how much i will be getting and finally the buy back price. thanks for your help guys

the sensors may be physically different but i am gonna take a shot in the dark and say the actual crank trigger and mounting position are the same. besides the crank trigger mount is in the oil pump housing anyway.
