Default safe to isntall up, down and ported td04 without em?

Hey, im about to switch over to a ported and coated td04 from deadbolt. I was wondering if it would be safe to run it with an up pipe, bosal downpipe (leaving 3rd cat in) without using any engine management. I'll be getting my accesport reflashed by cobb soon, but until then its usless to me.

just wondering if i should hold off until i get engine mangement, or if it would be ok to install and run it without em.

Depends on how long. Of course your car will survive for a few days, and probably with no problem.

If it's gonna be a while, I'd recommend waiting for the EM.

The ported stock turbo acts very differently than the regular stock one, and the exhaust isn't the best idea (not the worst either) without EM on the 04+'s.
