N/A legacy 2.2 fuel pump specs
you guys did a great job answering my questions about legacy turbo injector flow rates. Now all i need to know is how much the N/A fuel pump flows, preferably in lph but idk if thats how they are rated by subaru.
thanks so much Justin

Discharge pressure is 36.3 psi
Discharge flow is rated at "More than 80 lph" at the following voltage/pressure [12V at 36.3 psi] |

That's what the factory manual says.....
I can double check a different manual when I get home, but it's probably correct. |

Red.
However the 90 & 91 n/a legacies had the same rated pump, but their injectors were grayish for the AT and black I believe for the MT's. |

so it doesnt matter what injectors the car had, they all share the same fuel pump? probably with the exception of the turbo model with the pinks we talked about in my injector thread.

ok so i did a little home work and converted the 360cc/min flow of the turbo injectors to LPH.
360cc/min x 60 = 26,100cc/hr 26,100cc/hr to LPH move decimal 3 places left = 26.1LPH 26.1LPH x 4 injectors = 86.4LPH max flow do i have a problem running an 80LPH pump at the top end? |

It would not be a good thing. You would probably run a bit lean at the top end, where you need the fuel most.
If it could keep up, you would be running it harder than it was designed for, thus shortening its life. I would recommend just replacing it with a high-flow unit. I put a Walbro GSS-341 255 LPH unit in mine. It was drop-in, and less than $100. |
