jake, do you have any idea if there is a ground wire on an 06 STi that connects from the strut tower to the bottom of the coolant reservoir?

There was some random wire on my car that had these connectors on each end

then a snap connector in the middle like this

the cable didnt connect to anything though....

here we go...

i have been convinced that putting stock sti rods back in the car is probally gonna result in a similar failure if not worse.

jo-d told me he can get me a good price on turbo tuffs so i guess i need to find the coin for that...either way it needs to come apart as soon as karl can make the room.

got some more bbs's coming in the mail so i will soon have a couple 5x100 04 bbs in gold for sale...

guess i'll have a low mileage set of sti rods for sale as well.

i have a 2.0 shortblock, another set of sti rods and an sti crank that will be fun to put together for the 99rs when karl gets us a work station set up.

really hoping to get a set of varrstoen es 2.2.1s just like pencils' but in a bright mettalic red, and put the bbs on the rs.

I agree 100%

The car will last forever this way. I will pay for your rotated kit as well. You can have my VF.

Im not even joking, my car would be killer with a rotated 30R, in any type of racing.

Ron and mikey you have hit the nail on the head. I'm considering putting one on the legacy and building something else fast.

sorry, once you go black, you can't go and run a smaller turbo. 30r is boss, but i would like to run a gtx35r...

the rotated 30r will only end up moving to the 99rs if anything.

i am gonna build a 2.0, with sti crank, sti rods and stroker pistons for the 99.
shes gonna need a 6 speed, so thats a future project. just bought stock wrx heads for that motor though.just gonna put stock valve train with sti cams in that. im at least gonna get the motor together and installed. they have zephyr do the harness. then think about 6 speed rear diff, turbo and such. i have a front mount for it already as well...im liking the vf43 on e85 for this car.

i'll join you in street mod in the bugsti anytime! hopefeully oct 15th at etown!

i really wanna race in that event.

dial the car to 11.500000.

jake, i dont think you realize how big a gtx35 is......its basically a gt40....we're talking up in 75 lbm range. Thats 23 lbm more than you have now.

you're not gonna be able to utilize it unless you rev the piss outta your car.....

just going up to a gtx30 will bump you 50-60whp.....you read here enough to know that your reliability is going down the crapper the bigger you go.
