Weird problem with my steering need help !!!!!
ok...here s my problem....read to the end cause it gets more complicated...
when i steer to the left or right...and only after a full turn of the steering wheel left or right there s a sound coming from the front end....only on tight curves or when i am parking for example and i need to steer more than a full turn....if my hands are on the steering wheel it feel like i have a flat tire but the noise it makes just like the tires are rubbing on the metal....on a straight line there s no problem at all.....to make things worse....after stopping the car for a while it disappear ....just like nothing happened....im not sure its because the car cooled down or so.......but once i drive for like 30 minutes or more then it comes up again !!!!! it is driving me crazy !!!what could it be??

I have a similar issue. Happens more on colder mornings but after the car warms up and you shut it off then back on, it seems to be just fine. Maybe some kind of seal or something in the power steering pump is wearing. Also you should fill out your profile so you don't get pounced on by some of the mods. They like to really make new folks feel like crap for little things like that.

Sounds like power steering pump issue. Have you checked the fluid level and checked for leaks? Checked the belt?

Replace the O ring where the return elbow enters the top of the PS pump. Most likely it's cavitating a bit when you're moving a lot of fluid.
Check P/N 34439FG000 for fitment on your '03. |
