I have 1 of 2 right now. My blitz DTT was waiting in the mail when I got home and the perrin short shifter should arrive via UPS Tuesday. Later Andrew

I'll have an EGT to put in for sure. Umm, I will order some things tonight and hope they get here before the weekend.

Any ideas??? I got about $1500 I can spend.. What would you do if you had my car? =)

$1500 huh? Hmm, how fun! You could spend just a touch more and get a TurboXS stage 2 kit.

Of course I would recommend Vishnu's stage 0 as well. Only problem is you already have an up-pipe and they're not real fond of selling the kit without it.

Or you could get something boring like suspension bits or wheels.

If you do want power mods, I would go with a TXS or Vishnu staged package. That's my recommendation. Decisions, decisions...

Edit: BTW the only thing I will have is my EGT kit. No more parts for me as I'm going to save money until Stage 1 arrives. (Expensive as it may be -> Shaun)

Talking Jay could get stage 0

And I would gladly take his old up-pipe off his hands.

brakes, 4 piston up front and 2 piston out back.
want to able to stop that car aer you get up to 100+
mph...

sway bars, strut bars, springs would be nice to see it sit lower a bit..

my 2 cents..

Hehe, no thanks I'm not getting the stage 1, i'm more of a piece-by-piece sort of man. =)

Speaking of the uppipe, seems when the car is cold (morning time) something makes a really scary sounding air-leak and or rattle.. but after the car warms up, the LOUD buzzing sound goes away, what do you guys think it is?!

Bigger brakes mean bigger wheels.

Stage Zero and sell the up-pipe.

Or save a little more for when Stage 1 is released.

Ah, crap! Sounds like you have an exhaust leak. I'll take a look at it next weekend. I knew we should have hacked your manifold heat shield so we could get in there easier if we had to later.

Hmm, I just had a good spirited drive during my lunch break, and wow what a difference those end links made! When I put the sway bar in without them, you could feel a bit less understeer but the car just felt wrong. Kind of mushy. It feels so solid now. The moral of the story, if you get a sway bar, do the end links too.

Argghhh! Exhaust leak! Sigh, I was hoping it wasn't that.

Only thing is, is that I have to work Saturday night, which means I'll have to sleep till about 2:30 in the afternoon, and show up at Shauns around 3, and like that me until 9:30 pm to do what I need to do with the car. Do you think that's enough time?

EGT gauge arrived today. Looks good.

Well, with the EGT we'll have to take off your exhaust manifold anyway, so we won't have to do any extra work to track down the leak. I'm assuming you're going to tap the passenger side manifold for either cylinder 1 or 3. That's what I'm doing.

Yeah, that's where I want to put mine as well, 1 or 3, probably 3 if like people say, it gets hotter there. Well, as long as we can make it and put it all back together before 9:30 i'm good to go.

Okay, sign LeAnn up for Scuby 1101 at the next get together By the time we're done her next car WILL be a WRX

Stages of performance, most companies start with "Stage 1" but the are a few that have started with "Stage 0" and "Stage 0.5". The companies then sell "Stage 2" "Stage 3" and so on.

Assuming we do this Saturday????? Jay we should be okay with your schedule. We'll do the other work early and be ready when you arrive. Sound good guys?

Jay "Stage Zero" will give you the most bang for the buck, and it's a fantastic starting point for futher mods. Does kind of limit you to using Vishnu, but that's not a bad thing Ask Dave.

Still no word on Springs or what's going to happen with my recently departed "Monkey" It was only 1 drive but I really miss him

How's the parts round-up going for everyone else?

Got a mail from "Webkris" and another Monkey is on the way.

With a little luck I'll get to spank my Monkey this weekend, anyone want to watch?

Now for the springs

Dave, can I use aftermarket turbos how my car is without any other mods, like Unichip, or some kind of fuel computer?

LeAnn, whenever you're ready we'll blaze the WRX out in the country (your place). Haha.

Umm, I just remembered I have something to do this weekend. Yeah, that's it.

Good deal on the new boostmonkey. I didn't think you'd have any problems. For as cheaply as that box can be manufactured, it is definitely worth it to just send a replacement and keep customers happy.

Well, some people will say yes and some will say no. You could do it. You'd just have to be careful that you have enough fuel. I've heard of people running things like VF23's for a while on the stock fuel system with no major problems. Just turn down the boost. There is one guy who runs a PE1820 on the stock ECU but with STI injectors, I forget his name. If you are interested in this I would recommend researching it more to decide what you want to do as I don't think anybody can give you a straight yes or no answer.

My springs are on the way. UPS tracking says, "Jun 4, 2002 4:14 A.M. PLEASANTDALE, GA, US IN TRANSIT TO"

Dave, I'm missed that last one, are you in for this weekend?
