Default springs without noise dampener sleeve ok?

Hey all,

I'm looking at buying a ln s204 suspension setup for my 06 sti. I notice that one front, and one rear spring is missing the sleeve that goes around the spring.

Is it ok to not have it? Will the springs make noise? If its not ok, is there a way to get a replacement one made?

I believe that you want a coil spring wrap?

Scroll down about 2/3 of the page and you will find a listing for Whiteline spiral coil wrap. This is no longer manufactured, but they may have a package or two in stock.

You could also use Raychem DR-25 heat shrink if you really wanted to. Honestly, you don't need it.

Why are you buying worn-out, used S204 suspension in the first place?

Thanks for the replies! I ended up passing on the set.

I wanted the s204 suspension because it was a good price, cheaper than a set of yellows and a FEAL rebuild. I'm not a coilover fan and was looking for an upgrade in the 700 dollar range.

I wish RCE offered their fixed perch lit for the GD....that would be perfect!
