How do I De Badge Cleanly
I have a MY BRP 00 and would like to get rid of the subaru letters on my trunk for the sleek look. Do i have to repaint after? are there holes behind em?

From what I remember the letters are just stuck on. There are no holes behind them. I used a heatgun on low to soften the adhesive, then some fishing line to slid between the letter and the car. They came off pretty clean, I used some GooGone to get rid of the remaining glue. Take you time it is easy.

Go with the hair dryer or heat gun. Then to get the rest of the sticky stuff off use a paint and body eraser. I do not know the exact name of it, but it is a two fold item. It helps take crap off of you paint while filling in scratches. I wish I knew the exact name of it, but I have forgotten. any auto body paint supply place will have it. just try not to use any harsh chemicals on you paint.

Are we talking about the Subaru badge or the dealer badge? I would like to keep the Subaru badge. Noone on the road seems to reconize what it is, I want them to know what that cool car they are looking at is!
I would like to get rid of that stupid dealer badge though. Is it stuck on the same way, or are there holes? |

Oh, the dealer badge...I laughed at how easy mine popped off. It was put on with some foam tape. I just used a credit card, pried at a corner of the badge, and that sucker popped right off. No left-over adhesive or anything. If you do find any holes behind that badge, I'd take the car back to the dealer and say ***?
