Feeler: OEM Boost gauge + swap steering wheel cover
I have an OEM Boost gauge I'd like to swap for something after market, but I don't want the gaping hole on the steering wheel column.
Anyone interested in doing this swap + some cash? p.s. anyone know how easy it is to remove the top cover or have any reading on the topic?

I'm interested in your stock boost gauge. I'll give you $50 - the standard offer for a stocker. I've done the swap myself as well.

Just buy an Omori 45mm mechanical boost gauge from J-Spec and jam it into the stock boost gauge location. Easy swap, much better looking gauge.

I tried to do a column swap with Jalow72 and the pieces are not the same from the WRX to the STi. ('04 to '04 even). Really wierd as they look the same but do not line up when you try to put them together. |

Did you try swapping both the top & bottom of the steering column covers?

I think I'd be up for the swap as well if Jard backs out. $50. I figure it can't be too hard to get the column off, but I have no idea what's involved in getting the air tubing and whatever else uninstalled.

Tried that but we couldn't. The bolts in the bottom are in different positions. I thought that it was wierd becaue they were both '04's but we looked and the part numbers were different. It was either because his car was a wagon or the STi is different. |
