Swapped the winter rubber on in place of the hard as rocks summer tires. I forgot how squirmy near full tread Nokians can be.

And as it has been previously mentioned, cold starts suck, but motors work better when a load is applied to them. Get in, start the car, turn the seat heaters on, plug in your MP3 player, buckle the seat belt and then slowly drive off. Keep the RPMs low until the coolant has come up to temperature (as oil will be 10-20 degrees higher than the coolant, in general) and things will be just fine.

If you are running a larger radiator, you may want to look into fabricating a plate to block off a portion of the airflow. My koyo will overcool things when out on the highway, so I've put a lexan plate in front of a portion of the radiator. It has helped a bit, but I need to make a bigger piece.

Nice! 52mm or 60mm Prosport?

If it's the 60mm I have the same one. Mine is in the autometer gauge cluster pod tho

Its a 52mm got it for free from a buddy the other day.

Not sure what pod I have but I was told it was an autometer, not really a fan of how it fits, a smy cluster would be optimal but that costs nearly 4 times what I paid for this pod.

I have the autometer gauge pods like that and the fitment is fine. I have heard others say it sucks. I was waiting for the smy to come out forever and they kept delaying it.

The fitment is okay, but it could be better. I can deal with it maybe I'll change it out when I can get a Smy cluster for $40

I like that the Smy cluster re-uses that little flappy cloth thingy to cover the steering column, as well as it has the little plastic pieces that connect to the dash for a nice firm fit.

VF-52 is stock, correct? Yes.
Car has intake, exhaust and a boost controller.

Check ur Pm's, sending you my contact info if you need that exhaust welded up. Would be no issue at all!

I had my dad double check my 6spd swap progress and he thinks my passenger side gasket may need to be replaced. Though I havent noticed any smoke/smell. perhaps mine isnt that bad yet, hoping i can delay replacing it when it gets warmer. It's already a pain working on my car in the cold.

Today, picked up some wires to extend the ones on my dccdpro controller. Also soldered in the diode for the e-brake wire of the controller. Im thinking about posting pics about my wiring job. Slowly finishing most of the things i wanted to do to the car. Cant wait to drive the bugeye again after all the work ive done! gotta thank nasioc for all the DIY threads, else id be even poorer having a shop do the work for me.

Got home from 7 days in Orlando... Washed, waxed, and drove the hell out of it.

Also hit up the Central Florida International Auto show while on vacation... it was fun getting to school the Subaru reps they had there that couldn't answer any questions about the WRX and STi at the show.. they actually had me field some questions for people there. Gave me a pretty awesome swag pack:
