Soooooo. My crank position sensor went out (I think). While taking off my timing belt cover, I discovered that the threads on one of the bolts are stripped. It will turn, but doesn't go anywhere. Does anyone have Daves current phone number? Does anyone know how to fix my f up?

Just a timing belt cover bolt? Should be a easy enough fix.

Can you get to the back side? The nut is pressed into the cover. If you can get to it you should be able to unscrew the bolt. Or grind the bolt head down until you can simply slide the cover off the bolt.

The tip of the bolt does stick out the back. Ill try to push while I turn, maybe it will move. The next step will be grinding off the head. I was thinking the front cover still wouldn't come off, but the other bolts don't have threads all the way so that seems simple enough. If all else fails Brad has another cover.
