Im sorry. I didn't relize you wanted an answer. I have the bass at 2, mid at 5, and treble at 5. Like I said I wasnt shooting for something to stage like I have a orchestra on my dash.lol But it actually triples the sound over factory. Im really satisified with it and not putting more money into then I really have too.
My main goal was trying out the Lc6i with this setup. To show to customers with the right parts to have a decent sound. You dont have to spend a whole lot of money on a bunch of different parts. I like to do things in steps with customers. Like I said next thing I was going to add speakers but in reality I dont have to.
This is a good demo car to show someone without scaring them away or Pissing of my wife.lol

How is a custom amp rack/fiberglassed sub box cost efficient?

Look...I like the trunk install. It looks great. But the more efficient choice for normal users would be to upgrade the headunit, the front speakers and a nice amp with a reasonable sub/box in the trunk...and it would sound A LOT better.

I don't want to take away from your trunk install because it does look fantastic...but the execution vs. goal here is off.

I understand what you were trying to do and you accomplished it quite nicely. Actually making me rethink the idea of being set on keeping the spare tire.

I'm just questioning how you had the best sounding audio system at a car show with that setup. I'm sure anyone with an EQ or an originally flat source would have sounded much better. I'm sure it sounds good but don't try to tell us you're winning SQ competitions because I know what that signal sounds like when amplified and it aint good.

Sir lol I did not say I had the best sounding audio system at the show. It wasn't serious, I was not bragging. I said it was funny if anything cause I wasn't expecting to get anything. It's my dd, me and some friends went to the show to see some cars. Judges walk around on their own and do categories. People were attracted to it and liked it. Since I don't know you or other people that read these threads. Im just trying to give examples on how it grabs peoples attention. There faces when they don't see anything in the back or see that there is a factory radio and that I tell them it's factory speakers still. And when I tell them the whole story about what has only been done. They are wow'd. That's all I'm saying. Hints when I posted up this thread. I put nice and clean oem intergration. Not holy sh!!, In your face, sounds like sex to my ears or Jesus it's scary clear. I just wanted to show people with our 2011's that the factory stuff isn't that bad.
Ps I don't have 20-50 thousand to spend on a true sq car let alone put it in a wrx.lol so no I'm not full of it about the show.I'm not trying to argue with you or the guy above you.

Sir thank you for the complement. Not everyone is going to want or pay for an enclosure like mine. That part is for me and everyday bull sh!!. Like my first paragraph says I have a baby so I putt strollers and other stuff all the time like clubs. So I can't really afford to put a reasonable box in it.lol Again this is meant to be hidden. So I would think if a customer saw my setup I'm pretty sure there going to know I can make a six sided box.lol
Anyways I'm just on here to show my SUBARU off to give people ideas. If I wanted a full blown out car I would have done it.lol But I can't I have to think about other people other then myself. It sucks I'm growing up.lol
But hey when days roll on I might do some updates with new stuff. Tell then I'm satisfied of what I have. That's why I threw in some build pics to help some people.

Congrats. We have one on the way too in October, so when I looked at my trunk...the Audio Integrations box was perfect as it kept the function of the trunk in tact. It is a little expensive for an off the shelf box, but it fits the bill.

That (single sub setup) combined with a single amp setup that powers the front stage and a descent head unit would come to a very reasonable price range while sounding incredible.

There is no reason to replace the area speakers...just fade them out.

Here is some pics for fun.

Notice the second pic say best of audio. Not spl or sq. Its for overall everything. There were other cars with globs of glass and other stuff. That people were interseted into too. I guess it was my day.lol And for you amplified system with a pac soem-t thats just l.o.c. no offense but thats probably why it doesnt sound that good to you. The lc6i has a signal that gets converted to 5 volts. I know it doesnt have a EQ but it does have a strong output. The radio has a pretty good full range with that piece. I bet you if you get the Lc2i it would make a difference. Audio control Is awsome. Before you write back think what audio control would say about a loc compared to my piece. I talked to them for awhile and gave them examples what I wanted and had. There is a bunch of choices I could of ran with. Lcq-1 or a Dql-8 but again I didnt want to go over board. Cause If I did one of those I would of went with A Whole different setup to back those pieces up.

I know what Audiocontrol would say, I have spoken with them. They definitely do have a VERY high opinion of themselves. That being said they do make great products and I realize the LC6i is also a line driver and it sums the signals. It's not your regular every day LOC. Maybe that makes a big enough difference, I'll have to pick one up and give it a try.

If I were going to run a 4 channel amp with 2 channels to the front components and the other 2 bridged to the sub and then run the rear fill off the deck or not run it at all, would there be any advantage to getting the lc6i over the lc2i? It seems like I don't need the extra two channels and since all the channels on the stock head unit are full range, the internal summing capabilities of the lc6i would not be put to any use. Does this seem accurate?

Yea with that setup your talking about I would do a lc2i with the optional knob to control the subs.If look at the picture of the center console you can see the knob. I love it cause it easy to turn it. The good thing too about the lc2i is that it has the accubass feature, if you wanted that. so all you need is the signal left and right from the front. And a set of four channel rca's.

i was at the show with him when he got his 3ft trophy and it does sound damn good. the sound quality is amazing and blew my mind when i got in the car and heard it. but the thing about i like the most is how its hidden. this one guy was looking all over his car and even in the back seat trying to figure out what he had in it. ha then when he pulls the cover up its just so clean and fits in good with the trunk lines.
