from what ive read you more or less need to weld the titanium in an air free tank. or purge the inside of the pipe and have a big shielded area as you weld?

Yes, That is correct. When we weld it we cap the ends and fill the pipe full of gas. It takes a lot of time and material to weld but the results speak for themselves. It produces and amazing looking pipe.

yes they look beautiful. i would love to try welding titanium sometime. but the only bit i've seen at our shop was big solid block we cut on the waterjet. but the customer wasnt about to let any scap lay around. i think they told us each block was worth 2500$ or so
