from what ive read you more or less need to weld the titanium in an air free tank. or purge the inside of the pipe and have a big shielded area as you weld?

Yes, That is correct. When we weld it we cap the ends and fill the pipe full of gas. It takes a lot of time and material to weld but the results speak for themselves. It produces and amazing looking pipe.

yes they look beautiful. i would love to try welding titanium sometime. but the only bit i've seen at our shop was big solid block we cut on the waterjet. but the customer wasnt about to let any scap lay around. i think they told us each block was worth 2500$ or so

A block of titanium? That sounds about right depending on size.

We can build the 02-07 STi exhaust in Titanium if you would like.

Thanks! That is a pretty good steal. Free Titanium? can't be mad about that. It is worth a fair bit in scrap. How thick? Perhaps a custom titanium heat shield? Have it anodized with the "burned" look.

It is in the works. We have a lot of R&D going on. Keep your eyes peeled.

Well I'm talking a "race" setup. Unresonated, unrestricted, and unbearably loud

As light as titanium-ly possible.

Well, with the holiday pricing it should only cost around a finger or so. Not a whole arm or a leg!
