Now that makes a little more sense. When I got my wrx my insurance was $300 a month. Now it's cheaper. Well I say get an 07 sti. Hahaha!

Well I was only paying like $158(full coverage) for my current wrx so I'm gonna shoot for an 05-07 STi or an STi swapped wrx.

This is only my second vehicle. I had a 350z before and that was $185 and I was 19 lol. It was insured here and I've had my wrx for almost a year and a half.

Talked to Subaru should be back to brand new condition by late next week assuming the parts arrive on time.

Awesome man! So did you basically receive a rebuild of the bad cylinder or was it a shortblock overhaul?

my gf has a nice sony cybershot. yea we can do a shoot, get some rolling shots and what not.. i know some decent spots...

on another note i have been under the impression for over a year now that my 240 had blown rings. well i retested all cylinders last night warm with all plugs removed at wot and got approximatly 150 across all cylinders. so apparently the block is healthy. which still doesnt explain what is wrong with it. its basically is acting like it is hitting the rev limiter but its hitting it at 2500 rpms and its very intermittant and will only do it when the engine is at operating temp.

So what your saying is you can't go fast? Computer? Fuel pump? Are you turbo? Injectors?

I don't know. I'm just throwing suggestions out there.

lol. yes that is kinda what im saying. lol. checked the fuel pump, maf, compression, im going to check for boost leaks tonight. and check the turbo. for the longest time ive been under the impression the rings were bad due to oil in the exhaust and intercooler but it may be the turbo causing that. i know they tend to blow around 14psi and ive been running near 13.5 for close to a year. and at the top of any gear i get alot of smoke in the exhaust. so its probably a shot turbo. i wonder if this would cause my issue though. im sure it needs replacing though.

That a sweet deal!! Your getting a warranty after that? I hope so.

What kind of motor do you have? SR? RB? KA? But I don't. Get how you can't go past 2500 rpm. When one car gets fixed another one falls apart. It sucks....hopefully your 240 can still hang?

my 240 has an rb25det in it. its been acting up for about a month now im slowly narrowing it down. i found a couple boost leaks last night.

and for the subaru i have an extended warranty through the ford dealership to about 70000, although i may check with subaru to see if they offer one.
