Default Lug problems

Where can I get some colored lugs that fit the stock wheels on a 2011 Sti limited?

All the ones I find are for aftermarket wheels

Lol, or just answer and be done with it. Muteki's are the one I ran with stock rims. Most say aftermarket to prevent sueing them. Make sure its 1.25x12mm (i think, you better double check that) and a certain style fitting end. I forgot, it's been a while. Sorry mate.

regardless of the specs, all brands say DO NOT USE ON OEM WHEELS. Doesn't get any more specific from the manufacturers of the product (YES I'm talking Muteki)

Not this bs again.

The manufacturers say that as a blanket statement to cover their asses for liability reasons. It makes more sense for them to say

"Do not use on OEM wheels"
Instead of
"Do not use on OEM wheels except for [this car] and [this car] and [this car], those are OK"

Most Subarus (I'll say most because I'm not positive if all) use the same 60* taper conical seat that all tuner lugs use.

Therefore it is perfectly fine to use "tuner" lugs on Subaru OEM wheels with the same seat.

ALL subarus use the exact same 60* tapered seat that is found on aftermarket lugs.

a simple search would've yielded those results, without needing to start a new thread (when we have far too many already).

Cover there asses for good reason. I normally go by the manufacturers and what they say. I don't show you having any pictures or you using them so ......

I have. I do. Stop posting. I recognize that you're new around here, but you're adding to the confusion and misinformation.

The seat is IDENTICAL. that's all that matters.

Really? We've all told you they will work with stock wheels.

THEY WILL WORK WITH STOCK WHEELS!!

Does that make it any more clear?

An here's a pic of McGard spline drive lugs & locks on stock STI wheels.

I understand what you're saying - I typically go by what the manufacturers say, too. But in some cases, it's abundantly obvious that the manufacturers put a disclaimer on their product for no reason other than to cover their asses against BS, not because there's some fundamental problem with the product they're selling. One need only look at how many aftermarket performance parts are marketed as "FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY" to see examples of that.

An aftermarket lug nut with a 60deg conical seat and the proper 12mm-1.25 threads has the same functionality as an OEM lug nut with a 60 deg conical seat and 12mm-1.25 threads.

How long did it take you to search through the 1700+ posts that gsrcrxsi has made to see whether or not he has posted pictures of aftermarket lug nuts on OEM wheels?

Here's a picture of RAYS lug nuts on my V7 wheels:

I've also used McGard Splinedrives on those wheels.

Here's a picture of RAYS lug nuts on the '99/00 2.5RS wheels I used to have:

Here's a picture of RAYS lug nuts on my old '02+ optional BBS RK wheels:

And I don't have any pictures handy, but those RAYS lug nuts were also used with 17" UK WRX wheels that I had years ago.
