I've been using Rotella T6 in the last 2 oil changes. It seems to work well for our motors. It's intended for diesel engines, but the synthetic properties are really good.

I don't know anything about breaking in a built motor, but I switched to Rotella T6 last year after a fair amount of research. Seems to be good stuff.

Lol Dom beat me to it.

I should add that it's also probably the cheapest synthetic you can buy at $20 per gallon at wallmart.

Wait till you have a couple thousand miles on the motor before synthetic. You want to set the seals really well before. Just use any high quality oil and change it as much as possible to break in.

Still been having some issues I think with the knock sum cyl 4 it's reading about 200+ but a lot of the forms I've been reading are saying that it's normal for that on are car due to where the aerators located at

The Rotella comes in 4-quart jugs. Not the usual 5-quart. So you will need to pick up 2 jugs for the first oil change, then you'll have enough to fill it to the recommended capacity.

As for the break-in period and duration of using conventional oil, you should look into that some more.

Some Wal-Mart locations carry Rotella T-6 in the one quart bottles. Mid-town doesn't but Wasilla does but I know you're not near them. Look on your stores shelf.

You could save $15 or have 4 extra quarts.

I've been using it in my FSXT for several years and also in my Gold Wing.

Make sure you communicate this sort of stuff to your builder and tuner. Easy fix now can turn into another build if you wait until later.
