I am FFS'ing, but I don't have any software doing it for me. I am just keeping my foot flat to the floor and shifting as fast as possible. I've gotten pretty good at it, but I try to refrain from doing much it for the sake of my tranny. When you get it right it feels awesome. 100x different than lift shifting. Boost stays strong and the next gear slams you back into your seat, you don't lean forward like you do with a lift shift.

tinywrx does make a LC+FFS patch for the RomRaider guys. You can get it here:

http://ecu-mods.com/online/

The only problem is that it doesn't work right for the 2011 WRX. He's aware of this, but so far he can't get it to work. The LC works, but FFS does not. I think the the LC+FFS on the COBB AP does work though (not positive on that one). I know some guys on the RomRaider forums are working on LC+FFS too, so maybe that will work for the 2011.

You should get a short shifter first. Yours is so tall!

Flat foot shifting and launch control can also be set using a Cobb AP.

I know

I hit him up to see how much they cost. I do need to pick up the same shifter that you have and bushings. I am not sure how much I'll have left over after I pick up my helmet this week. Oh... And we were going to buy those batteries for the GoPro. I guess it's just one more thing to add to the list.

Yeah, I still need to sell some stuff to be able to buy the GoPro...

^ teardrop with flare? I think it's closest to OEM with an added flare for improvement.

Yeah, switchblade. You can click the photo for more info. Still working on it.

That LC+FFS patch is the one I linked. You can get LC to work, but no one has gotten the FFS to work. I'm surprised he still sells it without mentioning that.

Where did you get yours? Did you install the Legacy keyless unit into your car so the remote works? No LED light in mine. Here's what the housing looks like from the outside:

I got one flip key shell and it came with one blade. I cut up my valet key to use with the flip key though. Getting the blank cut is expensive due to the laser cut design that is used on our keys.

Yes it is expensive and it takes a few days/week to get the cuts back but its a crafty device. All in though with 4 keys, LED, 16GB Flash Drive and FOB it's $$$. Is yours the KEYPORT brand? Http://www.mykeyport.com

Now that I looked at yours it's quite different than the one I have, similar concept though.

Wow, that thing looks awesome. The big downside I see is that you completely lose the remote capability. Unless you carry the separate remote, which essentially puts you back to what I want to get away from. What I'm doing is just an all-in-one key and remote. The flilp housing is just for fun. Mine only works for one key. It is basically like an OEM key from Audi or Mazda or other brands, not a fancy multiple key contraption.

So when do you think you will be making a trip to the 1/4 mile this year? I would love to know what you snag for a time with that power. Perhaps even a video for some eye candy?!?

I am planning on attending a MAPerformance event at BIR at the end of June. I will probably do the 1/4 mile, but I don't know how hard I'm going to beat on it due to the tranny. I tend to have a lot more fun on the road course

Take off Friday, drive up with us and drag race. Less people will be there = more runs!

Picked up another battery for BIR in a few weeks. Too bad there won't be footage of you driving in my class/group. The one downfall to having the same instructor.

I understand man. If you have the money set aside for a new tranny you should bite the bullet and get it over with so you can have some fun. Just kidding...maybe

I'm planning on taking Friday off. Hopefully it's not that busy. When I went to Rockfalls for test and tune it was really slow. Basically no line at all. I could have done 100 runs if I wanted to.

When you went, did you have an instructor in your car the whole time? I'm looking forward to being with a good instructor this time, but it was kind of nice last time that we could basically go out whenever we wanted!
