If you wait until after the holidays, I'm going to try to wire them to a different power source and will post the outcome on flyboy's thread.
Yea i found it a while back, was just asking to confirm some things. I dont plan on doing the independent foglight upgrade until after I get my outback fogs set up. I will wait a while and see what you and others may come up with. But much respect for flyboy for figuring it out. The day after I installed the H9 bulbs there was quite the blizzard on the way to work and I was barely able to see 2 feet infront of me with the higher output bulbs. The independent fog upgrade is a must for locations with lots of snow.
I also dont have the best memory so if you figure out a different way to do it where you dont have to turn off the fogs when you turn the car off, then that would be fantastic.

Yeah, flyboy is the man. I wanted to wait to get the Outback fogs too, but I want to get the wiring done soon so I can let flyboy and everyone know that the alternate wiring works or not, asap.

Oh, and I wouldn't use h9's for fogs. 2100 lumens is too much light to shine on the ground, it would probably produce a lot of glare, imho. I'd stick with the 1350 lumens from the h11's, that's almost double the output of the stock fogs.

The way I have it wired the foglights can be turned on at any time. The fog light fuse is not switched, and I tested everything but that, whoops.

There are a few other relays in the same location and I'm sure some of them have switched power, so they could be tapped off.

I don't usually leave my fogs on unless required, so I'm pretty good about making sure they are off, but I might forget someday, so a different source would be nice for the trigger side of the relay. I might get back down there and look, that side is much easier than the drivers side. If I do before anyone else I will post the update.

Yea mine uses the factory bluetooth but best buy threw the microphone on the windshield so it has better quality sound. I don't know of anything that's plug in and play honestly. I just picked up a cheap pioneer deck that was $200 One of the AVH series and had best buy install it then I went home and threw a bypass on it. Without a bypass from microbypass.com it looks like crap because you stare at a blue screen while you're driving. The blue screen tells you to engage the parking brake to be able to use diff functions while you are driving. I don't watch video when I drive i just cant stand that stupid blue screen.

Its nice when you have bluetooth mode on the pioneer deck I literally play anything on my phone and i can hear the sound through my car speakers. I put the police scanner/CB app on and it feeds through my speakers.

So my car used to squeak a little bit during humid mornings, but now its been a couple months since it started. The problem has gotten worse and the belt squeak/squeal happens almost every morning until the car is warm. Its at 55k miles, and I have extended warranty, but I doubt Ill be able to reproduce the sound at the dealer.

Is there an easy way to add tension to the belt? Would that even help?

I think that happens when the battery is disconnected. There's a procedure to reset it and make it work again in the manual. You have to roll the windows up and down a few times, holding the switch for a few seconds after it finishes going up/down, or something like that.

The window procedure is in the manual. I'd have to browse through the thread for the seat belt one. I need to remember to redo that.

To fix the seatbelt I believe you plug and unplug the the seat belt continuously for about 30-35 seconds.

Idk, you tell me. lol The engine starts squeaking like an old junker. I assumed it was the belt. I guess the car isn't exactly new anymore, but I feel like I just bought the damn thing and it sounds 10 years old.

If that's the case, your belt and pulleys might be glazed. The slippage causes them to polish each other, causing more slippage. I had a car with this problem, and a brand new OEM belt squeaked. Installing a Goodyear Gatorback belt solved it. It has a different groove pattern and a rougher compound than OEM belts. Don't apply any sort of lubricant or treatment to the belt or pulleys.

I see, not such an easy fix. Well now I just have to research how to remove and install a new belt.

Was totally thinking that. I thought it was ok when I first saw it, but was mostly turned off there was no wagon. I'm hoping for an STI version shortly after. I should be down on what I owe on mine enough to try and pick one up.

Front page of the forums.

Similar to ours, but a lot of things won't transfer. The seats look really nice though and they probably would. Suspension probably too.

Yeah, if you believe what DBL_TKE said. He might not have been the first to say it, but he sure got everyone believing it before he disappeared.

He also said that the seats suck and that every model has LED headlights. He could be right, but I think he was just trolling...
