Literally me and a couple other subie's were the only actual cars out. I swear, if someone opened a shop just for lifted vehicles around here, they'd have business for life!
Haha yeah in Atlanta there's a shop that does EVERYONE'S lift kits and they are doing very very well... even though they never get their trucks dirty not to mention it rarely even snows here

I was driving a few kids home the other day.

My one buddy knows a lot about subarus. The other guys have no idea.

One of the guys in the back goes.. "Oh man we're rolling backwards thats scary!"

My good friend and I just started screaming "OH MY GOD! SOMEONE CUT THE BRAKES!"

Then he thought I drove home with no brakes and asked. "why are you changing gears?"

I get a lot of ricer fly by's but the one today stood out. Dude was in a Nissan mini van that sounded like it was runing on 3 cylinders. no words were exchanged. we were at a red light:

Dude: looks over at my car and then grabs the top center of his steering wheel (Vin Diesel style)
Me: start to drive of as the light turns green. I get a bit down the road and notice the van still at the light but thought nothing of it.
Dude: a few moments later, flies by making me look like i was standing still doing 45mph.

must have took him along time to build up all that speed. lol

I often get the "what's the red thing on your bumper?" pointing at my tow hook. I tell them it's a nipple ring.

I've had my STI for a week and I've already accumulated a few observations. Of course there have been a few Subie waves. I was also surprised to get a few waves from other brand owners like Evo, VW, Mustang, and a Porsche. Cool to know people just appreciate cars around here.

People have tried to race me. I smile and pull away from the light as I normally do. Too funny.

The best comment so far was from a guy in his 60s as he walked by me in a parking lot. "I sure hope you're not going to drive that beautiful vehicle in the winter!" I responded with "That's why I bought it!"

On four separate occasions I have been asked if my hellas where speakers, and during one of the times the guy was convinced I was lying to him when I told him they where just horns and he actually got mad at me because of that.

Why don't you put your head by my "speakers" and I'll play some music!

One of my buddies(doesn't know anything about cars) asked if my car had a diesel engine in it, I laughed and told him no.. he got mad and said "it sounds just like my dads truck and i know what diesels sound like, don't lie to me." I said" matt its a boxer engine, I only have four cylinders and its gasoline." He got mad even more and called his dad to ask him. His dad called him a dumb@**, and told him.he needs to stop playing with his Barbies and become a real man.

Just about every person I give a ride in my car says so how fast have you gotten it up to. Its probably the most annoying and im sure everyone's heard it multiple times. Everyone just assumes you drive like a manic because you own a WRX.

Lol, or with my 2.5i I get asked that a lot and I usually say well I could do 60 on a highway ramp but would loose to the average commuter on a drag.

Yeah this car was specifically conceived and manufactured for the sport of drifting. I have a track in my back yard where I drift every evening. Oh and it has a straight so I can tell you "how fast have I gotten it up to"

My friend asks "Isn't that a drag racing car?" Or pointing to the fog covers "what're these? Air Intake?" which isn't completely stupid
