Thumbs up Sunday Scooby meet at In-N-Out (San Diego)

What's up everyone...might be late notice, but we're having a meet/cruise this Sunday at the usual spot. In-N-Out burger on Mira Mesa Blvd in scenic Mira Mesa. Meeting time is 12pm.

If you're gonna be there...post here! Thanks!

You know i'll be there....

Anyone wants to buy Primm Motorsports mudflap material (the sheets, uncut in black) for 15 bucks, or a Gooseman Aluminum skidplate for 30 bucks, i'll bring them. GC8 chassis only on the plate.

Laters, Eli

Craig <---- LOL!

I'm not hijacking, just wondering if anyone is gonna go, because if anyone is, I'd like to go too. If not the In-N-Out meet and drive would be fun too!

12:00 ladies and gentleman. Be there or be, well, you know.

PrezzieBaby: I am sure it will still be available, since only a few GC8's are coming today, and I don't think they will buy.

C'mon out today kids, I've got two words for you: Palomar Mountain.... if you need more to entice you to come out, then stay home! hahaha

Anyhoo, I'll see you cats at noon. And we need to get the show on the road today, so everyone start eating once we get there!

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Stefano and I were planning on making this run today, but we ended up wrenching on the Red Beast instead... And we were c*ck blocked by the freaking bumper beam from getting the MY01 front bumper skin onto the car.

The MY98 bumper beam mounts are 36" center to center. The 99 bumper beam I have (presumably a 99RS bumper beam) has 44" center to center on it's mounts (the angled piece that bolts onto the front subframe of the car). So needless to say, the 98 RS bumperskin and beam went back on the car.

Got the Morrettes installed tho. Just got back from a test drive around the Carrol Canyon Test Circuit.... The low beams are noticably brighter than stock, but not outrageously so. I may need to angle them down a degree or two, but no one high beamed me during the test run. The high beams, on the other hand, DAAAAAAAAAAAMN! They're not the typical high spread pattern US type, rather a pencil beam. These things light up the road for about 500 yards with a concentrated hotspot. BIG improvement over the stockers.

The design of the Morrettes is nice, but the execution could have been handled better. I wouldn't pay $400 again for a set. The plastic is a little on the flimsy side, we had to elongate the screw hole on the pass. side to secure the side marker lamp, and the spade terminal on the pass. high beam was tweaked to hell enough that I had to compress it with some pliers to get it to stay on the terminal on the bulb.

The Cibie reflectors themselves are awesome though. This bodes well for my 100W pencil beam driving lights.
