TUX
Quote:
Tux is a penguin character and the official mascot of the Linux kernel.[1] Originally created as an entry to a Linux logo competition, Tux is the most commonly used icon for Linux, although different Linux distributions depict Tux in various styles. In video games featuring the character, female counterparts, named Penny and Gown, accompany him. The character is used in many other Linux programs and as a general symbol of Linux.

Quote:

Leet (or "1337"), also known as eleet or leetspeak, is an alternative alphabet for the English language that is used primarily on the Internet. It uses various combinations of ASCII characters to replace Latinate letters. For example, leet spellings of the word leet include 1337 and l33t; eleet may be spelled 31337 or 3l33t.

Hmm, "TUX1337" seems a bit odd to me, because it's a combination of two things you wouldn't really say together anyway. I'm guessing TUX and 1337 by themselves were already taken.

Also... I just thought I'd say that while I have no problem with Linux (ran Ubuntu as a HTPC for a while, ran Gentoo on my laptop during university), for some reason people with Linux stickers on their car just come off as "look at me, I'm better than you because I don't use a Windows or OS X machine". No offense intended.

EDIT: Also, wtf, where is your exhaust tip... lol. Guess Subaru's going for the electric car look with the 2012+ models?

yeah you do have to deal with the nix attitude fortunately its not something i convey, I have had my plates for about 5 years now, most nix users will translate it as linux elite of course bsd users will then start up some elitist war of gpl vs bsd licenses either way its just a waste of air. Use whatever you want to use, most ppl use nix systems they just don't know it, car infotainment systems, refrigerators, cellphones, etc.

As for the exhaust tip, yep its hidden on the hatchbacks, points downward but you have to go a little lower to see it.

Default This was from my late, great 2004 WRX

This was from my late, great, 2004 WRX which I used as a campaign vehicle when I ran for the stated office in 2006. [Going to the posted website will be for a different office in 2012.] Hopefully the link will be active:

Default Fan of Atlas Shrugged?

This one is for fans of Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged." This plate is on the Subaru we still own today, a 1990 Legacy AWD wagon with over 245,000 miles.

That's a little deeper reference than on the average custom plate. Interesting choice. Can't say I agree with Ayn Rand on the subject of capitalism, but Atlas Shrugged sure made for a damned good video game adaptation (BioShock).

Don't deserve.
I have the perfect life. Two amazing and healthy boys (5&2). Awesome wife. Live in a great community and I have my dream job as a teacher. I have all this despite me being me. I like being reminded of how fortunate I am and not take it for granted.
