I'd start the pulls earlier 2200-2500. Looks pretty good for 19psi! |

You also need to open the log before importing it into vd and delete the non WOT cells or your curve will look all goofy before you stomped the gas and after you let off.

Airboy is the excel based road dyno.
Also, if you're utilizing fast poll in romraider you really need to disable it for dyno runs....or go through and delete all the dual rpm data points. There are a bunch of them in fast poll logs, especially on 16bit cars and they screw up teh curves also since its basically showing the rpm didnt rise over a time stamp increase. |

Definitely turn off fast polling if you're logging to make a power plot. Not only are there duplicate data points, but there are some that even go backwards! This creates big spikes that can skew the numbers. Also, VD is set up to automatically trim to only 100% TPS. As long as you don't go WOT more than once in a single log, then it should show you the correct plot without any manipulation. |

^ there are differences in the plots if you take teh same log and plot it trimmed vs utrimmed. 25-50 ft*lbs difference at low rpm. at least on the log i just checked.

I'll have to check that out. I wouldn't expect that. Does it read higher with or without the trimming? What happens if you don't trim it and move the little RPM sliders?

this particular log, the trimmed data reads higher.
you can see it in the sliders too....trimmed log 3000rpm to 6500rpm, the non trimmed sliders are 800rpm to 6900rpm. its not removing the data like you think it is. |

Yo Anton. Getting my knock control sorted out a bit. I had a timing mishap last night but I got to see what actual knock looked like and with my gains I am able to listen to kncok on all 4 cylinders. I need to tweak the gain on clinder 4 but you can see all four cylinders pretty clearly with the filters and gains setup right.

You wont regret it! Start learning the software now though. Its closer to the cobb style stuff. But you can setup the table axis so it looks kind of like the aem. Haha. Everything is so smooth. I went from a -8ish psi idle vacuum to a -9.1 to -9.4 psi vacuum. The idle is rock solid. Can't even tell I have big cams. It's ridiculous.

Yo Anton, where you been? How's your beauty running? You have the nicest and most stealth 07 STI in my opinion!
I've been running Motul 5w40 and I can't believe how clean and well it holds up! Allan |
