^Nice.

Just out of interest why did you opt not for rotated mount?

I spent a few hours yesterday cutting and welding. The header I paid less than $100 for on EBAY, and was a steal. I cut it off right after the flex joint, and welding on an extension and a 90 degree mandrell bend. Super simple. Then I welded on a support and called it good. Talk about easy.

I have the turbo mounted the way it appears because I will still be using the supercharger, and this way the turbocharger directly feeds the SC. A 90 degree silicone hose goes from the turbo to the SC (at least I hope it still does!)

$80 shipped new, great quality, I aint gonna fight it.

Spent the last hour or so attempting to fab in the EWG.... Tight! Maybe too tight! If I didnt have the SC, I would have the turbo in another position, but since I need the turbo where it is located, it takes up ALOT of room.

Time to stop and play some CS.

H6 is a serious "I will stand and look at it for a long time" project.

It seems even the smallest projects get like that lately.

Finally got my fuel injectors flow tested.

782
790
792
794

And they all leak when closed. Which would explain my poor idle. But I will continue to use them cause I can live with a bad idle for the time I actually drive it.

No, they are less than 2% difference between the big and small.

Its that I manhandled the modding so that the pintle doesnt 100% close now and they "leak". However, I myself have tested them (back when I was having 0-ring issues, and they didnt leak when closed then, so maybe its a "come and go" issue.

red,

when you build a new engine for someone, do you go out and buy the whole gasket set from subaru or do you purchase individual gaskets of just what you need? It seems there are lots of gaskets left over in that $300 gasket kit from subaru.

just wondering what you do cause eventually I'll install a shortblock in my car when the stocker blows up....................

Sometimes I buy a gasket set, sometimes I piece one together from stuff I already have.

That I feel safe enough to do track days. Plain and simple, when the wagon gets going again, and when I actaully do a track day, I am not confident in my abilities as a driver combined with big power. So I would rather live/not be injured if it turns out I suck.

And also, I definately plan on being 11.49 and faster at the strip, which requires you to have a roll bar/cage at those speeds.

Are the injectors you have used injectors or were they new with all the modifications?

Awesome work red, I have been working on subarus since I was 5 (so 20 years now). My family owned a shop where we rebuilt, repaired, and sold parts for nothing but subarus. I am glad to see you are bringing your imaginings to reality. I do the same thing, build what i can spending as little cash as possible. This is my latest project, I drive it to work (when it isn't raining) and have only put $750 into it. That does btw include the new set of tires. Props to you! I am now having dreams of supercharging it LOL!

Here are some videos of the car, as well as some pics;
