Default Small Plane found on Beach Reported as possible Drone..

Is there more to this story than we think? What does OT say?

Certainly does not look like a military drone to me and the military was not the 1st on the scene.

Drone found on Beach?

FIRST ON 3: Drone planes show up overnight at area beaches

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Folks at two area beaches had quite a surprise this morning. They found what appear to be military drones on the beach.
Jerry and Barbara Kennedy in Oak Island sent us two photos of the drone they ran across on the strand, which is larger than a grown man (above, right). We also received a photo from Carolina Beach (above, left).
We are checking with the military to see if they can identify the aircraft.
Or it's just a big silly RC plane. Because all stealthy paramilitary drones are painted with orange paint.

Doesn't the military use RC planes like that for target practice?

It's a Griffon Outlaw. It's SUPPOSED to be shot down.

I can confirm, using my many years of extensive video game experience, that that is not a military aircraft.

Target drone. Navy uses them for Anti-Air target practice. If they crash, whoop-di-doo.

I don't think there's even a recovery procedure for them if they crash and burn.
