They do have e85 here buuuut I heard it's like 1.50euro/LITER...= 4L = 1gal = ~$7/gal of e85. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. There is a guy here in Schweinfurt that has a turbo'd gsr motor'd del sol with a 40r? Car is gutted and tuned on e85 and people have vouched that he hits 9's. Sick little car.

So much for going to the ring. Better get a hitch and a trailer with the car and carry 100 gallons for the trip there, four laps and the trip back...with all the other costs, is going to be like a $1000 dollar track day. IMO, not worth it.

E85 is 1.10 Euro.

Gabe, go Esso.

For me with German prices a ring trip is about 300 Euro.

Costs:
-top off fuel - $5-45
-tank of gas there = ~$45
-4 laps = 95euro ~$140
-top off, 4 laps of beating your precious to death = 1/4-1/2tank = ~$25
-tank of gas back = ~$45
-food/drinks - ~$30
-time on the NURBURGRING = priceless

TOTAL: $330 with being on 1/4tank the night before you leave from Graf. IDK why you're thinking $1000. Ok, $470 if you do 8 laps. Christian, am I missing any costs?? Hell, if people don't even want to race, we can still do ride alongs!! No bigum's por favor :P I already weigh 215lbs.

soldierboy I was referring to the €7 gallon for E85. I spend about $250 on the trips to the ring. But giving that corn burns a lot faster than gas at that price is gonna cost a big penny. Thats all.

The closest E85 gas station from the shop is in Erlangen.

You can look them up here:

No I am on pump 93. I think the corn subject came from renegade. I think he is on E85. He mention something about it and I think we all got carried away on the subject there for a while.

I do have a 91 map since that is the highest octane in CO at altitude.

Yeah I brought up the talk of E-85.

Here in Schweinfurt, all we have is e5, e10 and super being 93oct/98roz or whatever it is. I'm sure you'll need a retune either way.

If the snow doesn't melt by the 6th, then I'm not risking it. Star specs don't like being cold or wet.

Welcome to Germany and our thread. You're just in time for our Ring trip. You wanna go on the 6th or 21st if the weather is bad?

Sector, how much are you putting down?

ahhh shiet. how is your driver mod?? I'm fully confident in a straight line :P If only I knew the Ring better :/ That's the hard part, I want to be so fast and go fast but can't cuz I don't know the track and don't feel like picking up scrap metal scattered across the track from smacking something.
