Default how to tell if there is knock using AP?

Hey guys last night I went to fill my gas tank. But I was being a dumbass and spacing out and started putting I'm 85 into my sti which is ots stage 2 ap. Well by the time I realized it there was already 10 gallons in it. I then filled it up with 4 gallons of 91. Right now I'm just babying the car, shifting before 3000 rpm and riding intelligent mode.

Now I have an AP, is there anyway I can check knock on the car using live data logger?

Thanks

Maybe a better option would be to buy a $5 pump, a $10 gas tank, and get to work. :-\

I wouldnt risk it. Why make one mistake, then make another? One bad knock can damage your engine, but by then its too late. Just find somebody that needs a fill up and drain yours out. A 60 dollar mistake doesnt have to cost thousands.

Look at dynamic advance multiplier, feedback knock correction, and fine learning knock correction. DAM you want to be 1, the others zero.

I'd either:

A: drive out of boost until you have refilled the tank with the correct octane

or

B: empty the tank of gas and refill with correct octane

These car's can be driven on 87 octane gas, but the potential for a knock event under boost is much greater.

I would reflash the economy mode map that can be found in the maps section at cobbtuning.com. This will disable boost control which will minimize boost levels. Additionally, you should drive conservatively and try to stay out boost as much as possible. Run the tank down as much as you can before filling up with 91 again. If you follow these steps, you should be fine.

Thx guys. Someone told me to put about 2 - 3 gallons of e85 in it and it should help with the octane. Can someone please confirm this?

I wouldn't attempt to try to mitigate any knock by filling up partially with E85. Just run through this tank by driving conservatively and you'll be fine.

If you are using a boost select map, then intelligent will be a lower boost mode (although more boost than running the economy map). Keep in mind that if you go wide open throttle (WOT) for a few seconds in intelligent mode, it will switch to sport mapping (and therefore boost levels with boost select). But, given your circumstances, you shouldn't be going anywhere near WOT.

plug in your ap and put it on the feedback knock and just keep an eye on it while your driving around. that way you can see if anything is going on.

feedback knock correction is just one of the three methods of knock correction on the ECU. It won't tell you the whole story by itself.
