Any word on pricing for individual midpipe and CBE with the muffler deletes for a 2011 sedan yet? I've been waiting a couple of months to see what you came out with for a midpipe/downpipe to pull the trigger.

Any idea when a nameless will come out with a cbe for a 2010 wrx? I see on their website that they are looking for cars in their area to use as prototypes.

Default as my name says new owner of a 08 wrx sedan

just got it today and love it so much its awesome. but after reading a few pages of this I may have decided on a nameless exhaust. I saw a few of you went with the cobb downpipe?? is this downpipe a must have if tuning is in the future and is there a better one for comparable money?. i have a ton of questions but ill start there. long live the wrx

^ What? I don't understand your post. You got it or you didn't?

This, being your first post ever as judged by your post count, I can tell you that your questions have not only been answered no less than a thousand times, but you are also thread jacking. I'm not one of those "Use the search button" guys, but USE THE SEARCH BUTTON.

This has been some friendly advice from the nasioc membership. Oh, and stick to the newbie section until you learn a little bit. Tons of info there!

Back on topic...I installed my axleback today and was hella disappointed. Don't get me wrong, craftsmanship and fit were excellent. The sound, however, was lacking to me. It sounds unrefined. I don't want to say raspy, but it is damn close. I pulled off my TurboXS system for this, and very quickly put my TXS back on. For the money, this is a good option but it lacks the volume AND deep tone you get from a CBE. I guess it sounds as it should...like I hacked off my mufflers and put a straight pipe on. Great product but not for me.

Maybe my tone should've been a little adjusted because it was never my intention to insult you. THAT you won't find here...an admission of attitude. This is a sarcastic place. You lined your statement up as if you were going to ask subsequent questions on what we think you should do to your whip. That's why I responded the way I did. This is as big of an apology as you're going to get. Please accept it and let's move on.

I also wish to congratulate you. Are You concerned the quad tips won't fit your '08?

Oh, and to answer your question, the Cobb mates up nicely and is a high quality piece. I personally feel they are setting the standard so I would jump all over the Cobb dp if You get a chance and want to go stage 2. PM me if you'd like to cliffnotes version of mods for the wrx and goals.

Haha you bought an axleback to replace your TurboXS catback??? That doesn't make any sense to me. Of course the catback is going to sound better.

Maybe now that you have both, you can just chop off the tips and weld the quad tip on the turboxs and call it a day? That way you have sound and looks.

I know it Sounds crazy but, after reading a ton on the nameless, I liked it that you retained Your torque That seems lost with a 3" CBE(I have no idea why my nasioc app randomly capitalizes letters). I thought about the chopping thing, but the tips comes directly out of the muffler and, though I haven't measured it, I'm guessing it's a 3.5-4" tip. I'm Not sure how I would weld the quad tip with the 2.25" to That! Hmmmm...thought about it though.

I just installed my nameless Axel back yesterday. I will agree it does have an unrefined sound but that is to be expected. I'm either finding a way to add a muffler or resonator to it later. Jason at nameless said they are working on a y pipe with hemholtz resonators in it also as an option.

I only drove with mine for ten minutes, but I felt no difference in performance. That is to be expected.

Anyone with a 2011 sedan, did your axelback 'fix' the drone at 1500 rpms? I've read all 29 pages and haven't come to a conclusion.

^ The drone is even more noticeable. But isn't that what you bought a WRX for? The noise, handling, unrefined character, the noise?

No, definitely not. I think the WRX offers much more than just noise. I love the Subaru sound but I can do without the drone that i'm speaking of. From what I can tell the hatch owners do not share the same 'problem' and i'm hoping it's related to the dual muffler design in our exhausts.

Now I'm just spitballing here, but here's what I think.
You're losing low end torque because when you upgrade to a 3" catback, you lose more backpressure. Not much (since stock DP is still 2.5, but noticeable).
"But Doonagoowin! I thought backpressure doesn't matter with turboed cars!"
You're losing only low end power because turbo hasn't fully spooled up yet, so you're kinda running as an NA.

Nooow that's only my speculation/theory, I'm not even sure if I'm right.
But I'll throw it out there, for what it's worth.

If I'm wrong.. well. Flame on!

It's funny...me and a buddy of mine were just discussing this last night...^^^^^

I'm also considering removing the stock tips and welding aftermarket ones...just for looks. I'm ok with the stock sound.

The drone is gone, atlease what I concider to be "drone." I feel that drone is when the frequencies of the exhaust note are just right to vibrate inside the car. What I mean by unrefined is that it has a little rasp and pop to it. Not a big rasp and pop but it has one. That being said, it doesnt sound bad. It definetely is loud to me though. I am going to be looking into a muffler or resonator to add to the system very soon. Probably a muffler. I dont regret buying the system and I feel like I got what I paid for, for sure.
