idle air control valve, after a turbo mod
i am currently in the process of turbo charging my 97 ImprezaL. i am concerned of problems arising from the stock idle air control valve (IAC). how will the AIC operate after the manifold is pressurized? should i move the inlet hose to the pressurized piping, cap it, or remove the unit all together.
any input is welcome.

Pressure
You don't have to worry about it being pressurized. The IAC will go before the turbo and right after the MAF, so even under boost it doesn't see positive pressure. You cannot remove the IAC unless you go with a programable ECU since the ECU on an MY97 needs the IAC inorder for the car to idle. That being said the car will have idle problems that are worsened by the install of a lightened flywheel. The lighter the flywheel the harder it is for the IAC to control and recover the car's idle. A fuel computer will be able to lessen the problems if properly adjusted.
