brucelee, I feel your pain
I was driving home tonight, heading north along Alma in Palo Alto, doing about 40 (it's a 35 zone). Just as I'm about to accelerate and pull into the right lane to get onto Page Mill, I notice the car behind me has lights on top of it.
So I slow down to 35, shift over to the right lane and just drive (I've already missed my turnoff, so what the heck). The car follows me along Alma, then Embarcadero, then Middlefield, and is still behind me as I turn onto Oregon (it's tailed me in a big circle!). This proves once and for all that the Palo Alto police really do have nothing better to do. Given that they did this to a stock silver WRX, I'm beginning to understand brucelee's problems |

Nah I was good and law abiding.
Been driving a little slower lately since I got busted on Hwy 1. Took 280 to 92, was on 1 south, about 3 miles before the turnoff to 84 (was going to take pescadero back to skyline). Then a car starts tailgating me. So I sped up. So he sped up. So I sped up. So he turned his light on. He reckoned he paced me at 80, and he wrote me up for that too. At least it was in San Mateo County. Traffic school online (this country is bizaare)! Definitely need to do Mt Hamilton soon. I believe you had some desire to show me how a Real Man (tm) drives |

BAY Area police is suck. I had the same experience too. A car put me from behind and make me drive faster abd faster. But that ****ing car is police car. Then he pulled over me

hmm... usually when someone talegates me I slow down and let them pass. I take a look at them and then I can play their game if I feel like it
Now if I am in the dark and I have a tailgater I always suspect local authorities that probably trying to check me out. So I slow down to exactly the speed limit and follow the rules to the letter. After a while usually they get bored and leave me alone(unless they are already saw me doing something I was not supposed to do. Cheers T. |

Knowing the Fremont Police, I would imagine that they'd would pull you over Daniel and give you a "Obstruction of Traffic" ticket....basically going TOO slow for the traffic. Either way, If a cop wants to pull you over....I am sure they can come up with some kind of excuse to make it legal.

Fremont Police
Speaking of the Fremont Police...I was pulled over a few weeks ago because I "didn't have a license plate so the car might be stolen". Uh...the car's a new car! I was just out practicing my shifting and pull up next to the cop at a stoplight. As the light turns green, I noticed that the cop was going extra slow...then he ends up following me for a few turns and turns on his blinker. I knew i didn't do anything wrong, so i was pretty pissed. Then after we're parked on the side of the street, another two cop cars come and park. So there's like 6 cops standing around my car so they can check to see if it's stolen.
I guess my bald head scared them or something. At least my girlfriend got a kick out of it when they called her to confirm that i had "permission" to drive the car. Funny how cops like to bother me for things like this and tinted windows on my old Camry, when there's a guy blowing up cars around here. |
