Could it also be my MAP sensor that's not allowing this to happen?

That's almost insulting to many e-tuners that have forgotten more about tuning than you will ever know.

I don't think you understood what I was saying, I have a E-Tune and I love it. I ment that they run it rich to protect the person they are tuning, and they don't want to blow it up in your face. Sorry it sounded like a insult.

Everybody is ridiculing this guy for wanting these and while I personally don't want them, I'm actually rather curious as to what causes fire in your exhaust. Why do fireballs happen? I'm sure there are multiple causes but what are the primary causes? Especially tuning-related if such exist. I'll be tuning my own car soon and I'm genuinely concerned about this sort of thing.

Thanks

the "duh" answer- it happens when there's fuel in the exhaust with an air/fuel ratio that allows combustion, and an energy source to start said combustion

what Scotty was suggesting (do correct me if I'm wrong) was that if you add fuel on over run (when the engine is spinning down during a shift, or right after you put it into neutral) then there will be no spark in the cylinder, but fuel being injected and air being pumped through the engine, then you rely on the hot exhaust pipe as the ignition energy

other people are suggesting using an alternate fuel injector and spark plug for said fuel and ignition energy, but I'm not sure where they're going to get the air (oxygen) from

What are you referring to when you say addying fuel to over run. Is there a specific table..
