Autometer Boost Gauge
Hello everyone. My WRX came without the stock boost gauge. I have recently purchased an Autometer Boost Gauge. It is a part of the Ultralite series and it's size is 2 1/16". I want to mount it were the factory gauge would normally be, but I don't have a pod for it to mount it there. Can you buy the factory gauge pod from Subaru, and would it even fit a 2 1/16" gauge? If it won't work, what else could I do to mount it there. I would rather have it on the steering column instead of the pillar like some people do. Has anyone else on here installed one in the same fashion? Thanks in advance!

The stock pod is 45mm I believe... 2 1/16=52mm.

Man you are in luck, look at mine.
http://www.pbase.com/daytontp/ OEM factory pod and custom made faceplate were bought from Derres Catalano in San Diego for about $155. Search for his name on this forum. |

You are referring to the steering column mounted factory boost gauge right?
Like Hobbzz said 45mm. Try a search. I've read a thread where someone did replace his stock boost gauge with either a 45mm Omori or VDO gauge (I forget which brand). I'm not sure if you can buy that oem mount without the gauge though. Daytontp has what I have ie. a custom 3 gauge pod that fits 2 1/16" (52mm) gauges which replaces the clock housing in the middle of the dash. You *could* buy an universal mount (say from Greddy), drill it into the column yourself. Or you could get a single a-pillar mount. The choice is yours! Good luck! |

I've got a single gauge dash-mount next to the A pillar... it was a group buy through subie gal from the UK last year. Works well, fits my 52mm VDO (my autometer was pure crap).
