Default Rebuilding an Eaton Supercharger

Hi, I've been running around 6psi (5.5~5.8) for almost 100k, finally the blades started scraping.

I pulled the unit off, replaced the bearing, seals, cleaned everything and it still scrapes. $1000 for a rebuild is too much...

Advice?

Which model of eaton are you running? The 62? Some of them have teflon coated blades. Since you have already replaced all of the other wear components at this point the blades need to be honed and possibly re-coated.

nice site! I think they're the ones that quoted me almost $900 for a rebuild a few month ago.

I guess I'll take the unit to a local machine shop see if they can work it for me.

Thanks

Magnuson quoted by $1200 for a brand new unit. I would put it on ebay and just buy a new one, personally.
