Maybe the 3rd guy was running late. It could have been meant to say: "Unfair to customer's ... pets" or something. Way to assume you jerk!

The common complaint on their facebook page is that people get hit with fees for having a low balance, or their checks didn't clear before they tried to spend money they didn't have.

How is that TD Bank's fault?

I looked at this and thought "ha ha, I think he spelled "wieners" wrong in a post about someone making a grammatical error!" Then I wanted to make certain you HAD spelled it wrong, and my usual method in FireFox is just to highlight the word and hit "Search Google for..."

Then I stopped and thought "hang on, what kind of results am I expecting from this search?"

So after you spent 30 minutes looking at the image results, you posted?

I'm not sure. Banks aren't supposed to make money?

Not if it's just one customer who had the issue!

There are two though, unless it is just a supportive friend.

I would predict a wide variety in bank policies due to very different government regulations for banks up here vs the various states.

Most bank regulations are federal.

He's in Canada though. TD (Toronto Dominion) is originally a Canadian bank.

Old thread I know, but I didn't want to start a new one. TD bank sucks. I opened a simple student checking account to use as a savings account of sorts. It's been nothing but problems with them. I went to the local branch the other day to withdraw some money and put it in my Citi checking account and had to wait 45 minutes for them to fax papers that we're supposed to be faxed a week before. Clerk behind the desk said they sometimes hold funds in a new account for 30 days before the account holder can touch it; that's news to me.

Anyway, the guy cleared this up for me (after sitting with my thumbs up my ass to what seemed like eternity).

I think I'll be closing the account before the end of the year.
