I can't quite tell by the pictures, but if you have an airbag in the A-pillar, make sure that you either run the camera wiring on the window side of the airbag or behind it. Never run any wiring in front of the airbag because it will either interfere with the airbag (extremely unlikely) or it can cause whatever the wire is connected to become a projectile. Again, I can't quite tell exactly how you ran the wiring, just figured I'd let you know to be safe.

I got tired of getting down under my car to plug in my damn test connectors when im tuning my car, so i made a switched jumper harness that plugs in and sits just under the steering column when im driving, so i can stop and hit the switches, flash, then flip them back to drive off. Works like a charm!

It's actually the standard tv docking station for the zune, used a block to get it flush in the tray then wired into the aux video input on the headunit. I'm sure there are a million similar docking stations for iPod.

I've used something similar when doing headphone re-cable projects. It's called Techflex. Really cool stuff.

Ahh. I was hoping on using it for installing remote starters, etc but at that price, I am better off just sticking with shrink tubing. Thanks for the link / info though!

can you show how you connected the mesh and what did you do about the clips that hold it in to the headlights? I bought the things to do this a year n a half ago but never got around to it because I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to connect things

hand brake semi-covered... I dunno if unique but different... Same idea as garudatwo, but different spin. No glue, a simple cut&tuck did the trick quite well & totally reversible if needed! Love the feel of it under my fingers.

May try a total wrap (upper part) later down the road but I kinda like the contrast and cleanliness...

Looks great, glad you puckered up and just pulled off the handle haha. I think you need a softer shifter boot though, the current one looks a bit TOO erect

Don't worry, as it ages it'll get loose and wrinkled. Enjoy it while you can.

yeah taking it out made the nip/tuck alot easier! especially in that lower bend around the nob!
it's the stock/spt height shifter... The boot is the panel alcantara with the white lining under which makes it more 'stiff' (that's what she said!). But I actually prefer it and yeah, agreed with Dale, it will loosen-up over time i bet!

The video is nice but where is the step by step write up? Where did you get the connectors? How did you hook up the switch? I would like to try your mod out but I would like specifics so i can replicate the results in my car.

Yeh, ill make another one this week for a single wire plug which i believe is more common. I wired my flash jumper pins into the green plug, so when theyre connected its doing both the jumper and the test mode connections.

Be careful, you'll probably hurt somebody's feelings for trying to sell something here without being a vendor.

But LMK if you go that route. I'll buy the dog **** out of one. But I want a prettier switch!

Yeh ive been down that road here, and other forums. Ive gotten in trouble for selling too many sets of wheels once lol... I want to find a switch thats enclosed, not like a flip race car toggle looking thing, just something that can hang out under the dash without being bumped.
