Yeah definitely not all aftermarket company's fault, but they should be fighting these laws better- like NRA and gun laws, or other ''special interests''. It's like a 6 Billion dollar industry or something like that. They'll lose money or go out of business if more states pass crazy muffler laws. Meanwhile a Harly that I can hear 4 miles away is OK though. Grrrrr. I can't tint my windows even 20% either, but that helps save the earth because I run less AC, but NOoo... BUT an SUV can have limo tint, so the police safety argument is BS too. It's just government taking control of everything possible for the sake of having control. Don't believe the hype! LOL..

That is completely true but our government fails to see where to get tax money. Hell, spend taxes money on, some random BS they think is beneficial when its only harming the society. Our government is just selfish to its own and our democracy is more like an excuse cover up for a socialist republic. in Cali where the sun is always up and hot, the legal limit is factory on front windows. Why you ask? because cops don't want to get hurt....... Honestly, what a stupid reason... They took the job so they should deem themselves to be enforcement officers. |

I'd almost think that would be over-inflated, but I don't know. I guess if tire says it can take it, it's ok to run it. My Kumo Exta ASX tires are limited to 50 psi, so 40 would be fine. Do you notice a lot harsher ride at 40 psi? How about treadwear? All good? Steering must feel a lot different at 40 psi. Maybe I'll try that someday just to see what it feels like. |

I run 40 psi on my stockie 205/50-17 potenza re92a. Been doing that for a year and a half. Tread wear is equal and I rotate them every other oil change
And jourdan is running coils, so... Not sure about harsher ride |

wow I'm amazed that people run 40psi! So I guess I HAVE to try it now.. but I'll admit I'm a little confused as to why so high.. I bet gas mileage is as good as it can be, but the ride must be harsher.. but maybe not, sometimes things like that are counter-intuitive.

I'm going to need to replace my oem tires with some new Allseasons only after 23k miles -_-. Anybody have any recommendations? I like the Bridgestone re960's, highest rated on tirerack with exellent dry grip, wet grip, along with a farely high treadware rating but I'll have to save up. Anyone running continental dws's or michelin pilot sports (I think that's what they are called) as these were farely close in ratings as well. |

I just got Nitto Motivos from Discount Tire. If you call them to see if they have any specials for them, they should knock off a few bucks for you. They have held up great so far after 1000 miles.

I put a set of Contineltal DWS's on in March and love them. Wish I had swapped my OEM tires a long time ago, but I wanted to wear them out first. The DWS's have great dry traction and far exceeded my expectations for wet traction. No snow to try them in since they went on, so can't tell you much there.

I think bone stock the numbers are around 120ish WHP and 130 torque, due to driveline slop. So about 22% loss

I'm riding Yokohama yk 580s and they have about 6000+ miles and still are great. Ran them in snow, dirt, mud, gravel, and asphalt and haven't failed. Better yet, I got them at discount tires in mountain view for about 600 with warranty and free services.

How are the 08's on long term reliability? I had an 05 WRX that was burning a quart of oil every 1,200 miles once I hit 85k on the clock.
Reason I ask is I'm looking at an '08 with 92k miles on it. 5 speed. Dealer is asking about $10k. |
