Now that I have an LGT, I never get waves. When I had my bugeye I would get them all the time. I still toss out a wave though if I pass another Subaru

Every time I pass another bugeye I get a wave, or a blip of the throttle.

I think bugeyes might be more waves because it's more "classic" ;O

I don't get anything because I'm scoopless. Finally get their attention when I pass them because I actually SOUND like a subaru.

Guess I gotta put on a fake FMIC now

I'm a cyclist and we always wave to each other. I've gotten used to it and I appreciate it. But it threw me off a bit when the driver in another wrx waved to me - it made my day! I think it goes beyond for any car. My last car was a Saab 9-3 and I've never known a more dedicated group of auto owners than Saab owners, but I never got waves in that.

snaab owners with their snaabery, yes, my ex gf and her whole family was big into snaabs, it was ridiculous. Especially since the ones they had were complete buckets.

When i first got my RS I'd have people waving and honking at me.. "is something on fire?" .. then I found out what is happening. I had a mutual wave with a new WRX owner the other day, yay

where do you live? here in san diego saabs aren't all that common. my buddy has one and he's the most humble guy I know. idk maybe it's different where you are. at the end of the day though, that saab was terrific. I love that car. it was not perfect by any means, but dear me it was the best first car I could have ever owned.

I dont know if this just happens in my city, but i always get waves from most of the 2.5,WRX and STI's but only from the 02-07 models. I always wave to the 08+ and never get a wave back! And I've realized that about 40% of the 08+ around here are driven by girls.

When I had my Evo X I only saw one other in town. We gave each other a smile and waves. When I had my 350z roadster other Z owners seemed friendly. I guess it just depends on the person if they are an enthusiast and a nice person.

it kinda sucks when you throw a wave out and you see an older guy like late 30's or 40's and they just mug you because you waved, its like why buy a car that has traditions of being cool with each other whether your faster or slower. but then again, at least they're buying a scooby instead of an evo. muhahaha

There are so many WRX's up here in the Northeast, I would have wave so much my arm would get tired, dime a dozen.

I'm older than that and still wave to everyone regardles of the model they have. However, there are times, when it's hard, because I can't see them or busy making turn and get caught not returning a wave.

I throw up a wave to any WRX/STI/XT/LGT, anything with a hood scoop, and I usually get it back. A lot of the times, it's someone I know of from Mainely Subaru. I'll return a wave from an NA, but I usually don't initiate it, in case it's a grandma or something.

A lot of my students drive bugeyes and it's kind of awkward when I see the car on the street and wave just to realize it's a student. To be fair though, they've taken to parking next to me in the parking lot, so it's my '09 and a bunch of '02-'03s. Haha.
